A estratégia ajudou. FORZA FERRARI ❤️🐎

@brakeboosted 👍 In any case, the good news is that car showed good pace at a track that is (was?) always considered a bellwether for good performance at all other tracks. And if pre-planned ADUO mods are deployed quickly… nothing is off the table for the championships.

That's how the cookie crumbles. He needs to clear his head now. And focus on just being near the sharp end when the car is capable of doing so. It doesn't need to be a pole. Hell, it doesn't even need to be a front row. Just be there because the pace is good enough to be in the fight.

Rotten luck for Leclerc with a hydraulic failure with a handful of laps to go in what will be another pointless race. Also missed the VSC by half a lap to stay ahead of Verstappen. The wheel will turn, he will be back. Needs a desperate mental reset and a reevaluation of his approach in qualifying. His pace was right up there in clean air for 2/3rds of the race, the two-stop strategy did not seem the way to go either. It's a long old season this one. Forza Charles.❤️

@brakeboosted They either have a lot of confidence in a lower deg or just trying to get into the lead and think they can control from there. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Maybe would have been best for LEC to start on (H) with and go long.

@brakeboosted @wearetherace Good catch with flipped upper element. 👍 This change was quite obviously made to be sympathetic with the more down washing flow at the entry to the new undercut channel as you highlighted in green.

Heave damper setup on the #MercedesF1 bulkhead. The black Belleville washers are classic, but what’s that gold cage? Likely hypotheses: TiN-coated titanium for low friction, or anodized aluminium for surface protection. 🤔 Note the slots for extreme weight saving. #F1 #TechF1

@brakeboosted Wait, Merc getting ADUO? Hopefully what Ferrari have in the works already (if true) will move the needle on the dyno.

@carpentiers_f1 @brakeboosted 👍 Great pics as usual. About 1️⃣ this is the upper WB rear leg pick-up point—which has been modified a few times this year, as shown—but this change does not affect steering geometry per se. Steering changes would relate to the steering rack & deformable multi-link lwr “WB”.

@brakeboosted already revealed it all, but here are #FerrariF1 updates:1️⃣Front Suspension: Modified trackrod & legs for a greater steering angle. 2️⃣Floor Body: extra gurney on the front floorboard to boost downforce.3️⃣Diffuser: extra stay on winglet to maximize load #F1 #MonacoGP

@adrianfclarke Yes, I was thinking R8 when writing the post. In the R8’s case the blade was more identifiable as a scoop with rounded aft corners and not so upright. Also that car still looks unbalanced almost looking like long-nose front-engined car with greenhouse volume decidedly aft.

@EngDesignIng The original R8 had side blades to hide the length behind the doors. If you see one with them in body colour they look too long and unbalanced. This could be pulling the same trick, or it could just be a visual callback. Need to see a side view to understand properly.

@ScarbsTech @xavigazquez Could be but if they created the dip for area rule reasons, and so to reduce losses (likely to maintain flow energy to RW), adding more “furniture” in this area seems unlikely. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@EngDesignIng @xavigazquez That was my initial assumption too, but no one has ever done that before 🤔 I wondered may be an additional aerodynamic device will be fitted in that area in the coming races ?

Major changes to the bodywork around the Audi roll hoop. The side inlets are larger and there's a curious dip on the top surface below the T-camera. No other major changes are evident yet, but may be saved up for Barcelona... #F1 #F1tech #MonacoGP Pic @xavigazquez
