From solar and wind to innovative off-grid solutions, Somalia is uniquely positioned to harness renewable energy for inclusive growth and climate resilience. As the national umbrella organization for Somalia’s renewable energy sector, SOGEA is proud to officially endorse the ITBP and pledge our full support for its success. Over 30% of our member firms already maintain strong ties with EU counterparts, and this platform presents a valuable opportunity to strengthen and scale those partnerships. We look forward to actively engaging with the ITBP to promote clean energy investment, facilitate technology transfer, and advance green infrastructure across Somalia. Bihi Egeh; to fund the implementation of the Saudi Program for Drilling of Wells & Rural Development in Somalia, with a $2 million grant, provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through SFD. Abdurahman Rage Doojiye, [pictured]whose video of carrying a wounded victim on his back and rushing to safety during the Lido Beach attack went viral, has been described as a real hero. Abdurahman was among the first people to escape the place as soon as the assault started, but he went back after seeing a wounded victim lying on the ground and calling for help. He put the victim on his back and took him to a safe place.
