@NoFilterSkin I have known this for years. Space exploration has fascinated me since I was young, so I have always read about it and followed the news around missions.

I was TODAY years old when I found out astronauts don’t come back to Earth in the rocket 🚀Like the rocket really just drops them off in space and is like “aight imma head out”??? And when they come back… it’s in a tiny capsule… and they parachute into the ocean or a desert..WAITING to be picked up by a boat or helicopter like Uber 😭 Why did I really think they came back in the same rocket ship and just… landed? Be honest… y’all knew this already or we all just out here learning together?? 👀🤯

I knew this but in fairness, I am older. We watched shuttles go into space growing up. Then there was a long gap where it all just stopped until Elon Musk came along. For many younger people this is like brand new. To us older generation it is a welcome revival of space exploration!

Have you ever heard of the darkest chapter of prostitution in Indonesia? Its victim wasn't human, but an orangutan named Pony. > Born around 1996, Pony was taken from her mother when she was still a baby and ended up enslaved in a brothel in Kereng Pangi Village, Central Kalimantan. > Tragically, she was forced into sex work to satisfy the lust of local palm oil workers, at an extremely low rate of just around Rp35,000 to Rp38,000 per session. > As the "main star," Pony was forced to serve many customers multiple times a day without respite, making her the brothel owner's biggest money-making machine. > Pony was chained to a filthy mattress, and all her fur was shaved off every two days to expose her skin, leaving her covered in infected wounds and mosquito bites. > She was made to wear lipstick, perfume, jewelry, and cruelly trained to flirt; her body would reflexively sway her hips every time a man passed by her room. > Ironically, because she was seen as exotic (a novelty), Pony was far more popular and often chosen by customers over the human female sex workers in the same place. > Her rescue in February 2003 was highly dramatic; BOSF and the authorities had to deploy 35 armed personnel because the brothel owner fiercely resisted to protect their "talisman." > Now, Pony has successfully regained her natural instincts and lives freely in the wild habitat of Borneo, serving as a living witness to the grim exploitation of wildlife and a symbol of conservation success.

:Before stepping aboard the most powerful rocket ever built, Artemis II commander Reid Wiseman took his two daughters, Ellie and Katherine, for a quiet walk — and had one of the hardest conversations any parent can face.He spoke openly about his will, the trust documents, and the practical steps they would need to take if he didn’t come home. It was a moment of raw honesty, preparing his teenage girls for the worst-case scenario on a mission that would carry him farther from Earth than any human had ever traveled.Since losing his wife, Carroll, to cancer in 2020, Wiseman has raised Ellie and Katherine as a single father while training for NASA’s first crewed lunar mission in more than 50 years. Through it all, he has approached both fatherhood and his astronaut duties with the same quiet strength and transparency.Just before launch, he shared a heartfelt selfie with his daughters in front of the towering SLS rocket at Launch Pad 39B. His caption captured the mix of pride and love: “Dad, we can’t leave the rocket without a .5 together!! I love these two ladies, and I’m boarding that rocket a very proud father.”At 50 years old, Wiseman became the first commander of a lunar mission since Gene Cernan on Apollo 17 — and the oldest person ever to travel beyond low Earth orbit. His daughters watched with pride as their father lifted off toward the Moon on April 1, 2026.This deeply human story reminds us that behind every historic achievement lies profound personal sacrifice. Reid Wiseman’s courage — as both a dedicated father and a pioneering astronaut — beautifully embodies love, resilience, and the unbreakable human spirit that continues to reach for the stars.
