One reason I’m voting for democrats is because our most talked about scandal in the last 10 years was a tan suit.
As opposed to impeachment, indictment, sexual abuse and defamation.
@Ericdasboot@JenLuvsFitness@clownworld Also since the Taliban bans music and TV do you think they can actually watch them? That is even if they can afford a TV or phone!
@politico Except that history also provides promise that he won’t come back. No person has lost a primary when the polled at above 50% at any time during the primaries
@elonmusk@jtdaugh@Jason It’s amazing how much can get done at Twitter when according to the media there are literally 3 employees left
Makes you wonder what other industries are bloated with unnecessary overhead costs
@elonmusk@SawyerMerritt Come on now, you know how seriously SF takes their locked door building violations. Nevermind the 💉 in the street or the junkie laying next to it, you better put the correct locks on the bathroom doors or you got some splainin to do!!
@chrislhayes Damn DeSantis!!
I have hated him ever since he banned me from cutting off my sons left leg.
My son identifies as a pogo stick and he is very sad thanks to DeSantis forcing him to have two legs.
What a bigot!!
In Florida, you no longer get to make healthcare decisions for your own child: Ron DeSantis makes them. It doesn't matter what you think is best for your kids, Ron tells you.
The law DeSantis signed in Florida banning care for trans kids is despicable and a frontal assault on the vaunted "parental rights" he and his ideological cohort have been screaming about for years.
@shellenberger@galexybrane “FBI says it won’t release Jan 6 surveillance video because it would show too many undercover government agents and informants”
Uhh … this is insane!!
How many were there? I’m mean … just approximately.
The FBI & Democrats say the whistleblowers who testified today are "a threat to our national security,” but they're not. Rather they are honorable public servants who are being attacked for exposing abuses of power related to January 6.
I would like to offer tribute to @IngrahamAngle who used her position at Fox to do great things for the country. She was indefatigable on all things Covid and put on TV all kinds of experts to whom the public would otherwise never been exposed. This was heroic, and probably got her fired.
@charlesdhmmr@lecternleader@politicalsock I would take eternal reputation over prison any day.
The only thing that could happen is Trump winning and actually firing these people and hire an AG that will prosecute them
@Ericdasboot@lecternleader@politicalsock DoJ will not investigate or prosecute its own corruption. 2nd best possibility is demand that National Archives be written with candor & fidelity to the truth of what happened. At least history will shame the bad actors. Eternal reputation is more profound than a prison sentence.
I was so disgusted by the Jan. 6 riot that I deleted my Twitter account. I wrote introspective pieces on wanting to be part of the solution. (And I never liked Trump, and I thought Biden beat him.)
The Durham Report is 100x worse than Jan. 6. It didn’t reveal a handful of nuts getting out of hand & stealing a lectern.
It revealed our highest law enforcement agency trying to undo an election on ZERO evidence.
It didn’t disrupt a formal nomination proceeding for 3 hours. It disrupted a presidency for 3 years.
@lecternleader@politicalsock Your comment here just exonerated you. They used the power of the FBI and DoJ to go after a candidate for political reasons, falsely charging him and people in his campaign with the sole aim of political sabotage. I cannot think of anything more un-democratic.
@catturd2 Remember how big of a deal Dems made about Trump leaving before Biden got to the white house?
I wonder if they will keep the same energy now.
@IceDragonKrhyos@DawnRising2@KariLake Money through Russia. When Putin took over he put an end to all corruption except his own. Because of that, they took their second option and turned Ukraine into the most corrupt country in Europe. Thus creating the friction between Russia and Ukraine that has led to this war
@IceDragonKrhyos@DawnRising2@KariLake That is a possibility, but even if that happens (which I don’t think it will) when it’s all said and done, whoever comes out of it on top will be worse than Putin. The reason the establishment hates Putin is because they were licking their chops to get into Russia and launder 1/
@IceDragonKrhyos@DawnRising2@KariLake Also, one thing most establishment politicians don’t understand is that if Putin dies tomorrow, the guy taking his place will be much worse. The oligarchs in the position to take over are hardliners and think Putin is too soft on the West.
@IceDragonKrhyos@DawnRising2@KariLake Not calling Putin a war criminal on tv is not having an affinity for someone. Being pragmatic is better than just saying what your supporters want to hear. Putin isn’t a good guy, but we have to deal with him, so why go around telling the world he is evil? What good does that do?
