Pronoun jokes aren't funny. Not because they are offensive. But because in 2026, they are about as safe of a joke as you can tell, yet people pretend as if what they said was edgy. Corporate humor no longer benefits from claiming to be edgy. Everyone knows the jokes went through 4 departments and got prior approval from HR, Legal, and the head of marketing. Mainstream humor can still be funny as long as it has substance but isn't marketing itselt as edgy, which anyone can see through. Edgy humor works when created by independent voices without corporate backing.
