USMLE Tip: When you find yourself stumped on a question, pause and ask yourself, “What is this question trying to test?” All question writers start with a concept they want to test and then construct the stem around that concept. If you are stumped, it may be because you have misread the question’s intent. If you identify the underlying concept the question was built around, the correct answer sometimes becomes obvious.

New Step 1 Free 120 Video Review: This question highlights a classic USMLE exam trick: presenting a super rare disease that almost no student has ever heard of, while the correct answer depends on a basic concept you definitely know. It’s not really testing the rare disorder at all. It’s testing whether you can see through the disguise. youtu.be/bt2m0-PTCgg

USMLE Tip: It’s tough to remember the mechanisms of all the monoclonal antibody drugs like rituximab, alemtuzumab, and trastuzumab. But most of these antibodies work by tagging cancer cells or white cells for immune destruction through antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) mediated by natural killer cells. Just knowing this theme can help you get board questions right when one of these niche drugs shows up in a stem.

a very nice #paper to read. We collaborated with #mayo_clinic #researchers to use an #AI model for screening 12,000 papers in one day through suggesting a p value for each paper, depending on the relevance. It is actually a piece of art and highly recommended.
