🚨 Avoid These Common IMG Rotation Mistakes 🚨 Many IMGs believe evaluations are determined primarily by medical knowledge. In reality, professionalism, communication, and teamwork often have a greater impact on how you’re remembered. ✅ Be reliable and prepared ✅ Communicate clearly and confidently ✅ Respect every member of the healthcare team ✅ Complete assigned tasks without being reminded ✅ Show a willingness to learn and improve Remember: attendings do not expect perfection. They look for students who are dependable, professional, teachable, and committed to patient care. Small habits can make a big difference in your evaluations, letters of recommendation, and future opportunities. What do you think is the most overlooked factor during clinical rotations? Let us know in the comments 👇 #IMG #InternationalMedicalGraduate #USCE #ClinicalRotations

🚨 VERY IMPORTANT USMLE UPDATE 🚨 Beginning in 2028, the USMLE program will move to Designated Testing Dates. This means a major change for examinees: ✅ Step exams will no longer be available year-round ✅ The three USMLE Step exams will be offered over a total of 45 testing days per year ✅ Exams will only be taken on assigned / selected testing dates ✅ USMLE will expand testing centers and reserve seats specifically for USMLE examinees ✅ The goal is to strengthen exam security, protect assessment integrity, and support fairness This is a huge change from the current on-demand testing model. For IMGs, medical students, and residents, this means planning ahead will become even more important. Exam timing, score reporting, application deadlines, and visa/training timelines may all require earlier preparation. USMLE also announced that community engagement sessions will take place in July and August 2026, with more updates expected quarterly. Stay informed. Plan early. Do not wait until the last minute. Please help me! Hello #MedTwitter, I participated in the previous #Match cycle but unfortunately went unmatched. I'm seeking advice on potential pathways to secure a #fellowship position. My background: • More than 5 years of clinical experience in internal medicine. • #ECFMG certified. • Completed #USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK with good scores. • Flexible regarding speciality choice. I understand that Step 3 is often required, but I would greatly appreciate any recommendations for opportunities that may not require Step 3 at the time of application. I would also value your perspective on reapplying to the upcoming residency Match cycle with my current credentials. Last cycle, I received 4 interview invitations but ultimately did not match. Currently, I can't do USCE or step 3. Any guidance, advice, or leads would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. @StoriesImg @ProjectImg

@ProjectImg Please do a separate US img thread. US imgs need to talk freely and help each other match. Everyone is there for foreign mds.. the Justice dept is investigating residencies which are only hiring from favored countries not US citizens.

📌 ERAS is not 5 separate documents—it’s one story told from different angles CV, experiences, personal statement, and letters must all align 🚫 Inconsist applications don’t get investigated—they get ignored Program directors value clarity, coherence, and attention to detail You have minutes to make your story easy to trust 🎯 Consistency turns a list of experiences into a credible application #projectimg #pimg #match2027

🚨 One of the fastest ways to weaken your ERAS application? Vague descriptions. Program Directors don’t have time to decode what you might have done. They want clear evidence of your involvement, responsibilities, and impact. Instead of: ❌ “Assisted with patient care” Try: ✅ “Managed 6–8 patients daily and presented cases during rounds.” Instead of: ❌ “Worked on a research project” Try: ✅ “Enrolled 45 patients in a 6-month diabetes study and performed SPSS data analysis.” 📌 Use your “Most Meaningful” experiences wisely. Don’t just add more tasks , reflect on how those experiences shaped the physician you’re becoming. 📌 Fact-check everything. Dates. Numbers. Publications. Titles. Credibility matters as much as achievement. 📌 Have a CV gap? Address it proactively: Fact → Reason → Action → Growth. Specificity builds credibility. Authenticity builds trust. Your goal isn’t to impress with bigger numbers—it’s to tell your story clearly, honestly, and effectively. Save this post before you submit ERAS. Future you will thank you. 💙 #ERAS #ResidencyMatch #Match2027 #IMG #USMLE #ResidencyApplication #ERASTips #MedicalEducation #IMGMatch #ResidencyTips #MatchSeason #ERASApplication

I called the founder of Facebook to ask what he thinks makes a strong community. He didn’t answer, so I did my own research, based on my personal experience creating and growing a community of more than 150,000 members. And I think the answer is simple: a strong community is not built only by followers, likes, or numbers. It is built by connection, trust, showing up for one another, and turning a shared purpose into a movement. This Sunday morning, many of our volunteers could have been spending time with their families, resting, or enjoying their hobbies. Instead, more than 30 Project IMG members chose to show up for our humanitarian service outreach project to support people experiencing homelessness. Doctors, residents, fellows, medical students, and future physicians came together to serve, connect, give back, and help those in need. That is what community means to me. That is what Project IMG is about: not just building a platform, but building a movement. #ProjectIMG #IMGs #Community #Advocacy #HumanitarianService #Medicine #Leadership
