In high transition games, he should be played as an inside winger with full freedom while an overlapper holds width, he can easily do this on both sides, vs low blocks he can play 10 and use his dribbling in and around the box

[🟢] INFO: Liverpool have enquired about Adam Wharton. There is an acceptance within Crystal Palace he may look for options this summer should the club not qualify for European football. Wharton wants to play UCL football and there has been a verbal understanding between all parties that Palace won't stand in his way should the right offer present itself. Palace's starting valuation is £80m, even though multiple sources familiar with Wharton's thinking are of the belief a lower number might prove a starting point for talks. There’s no one-profile-fits-all tbh. PSG still has out and out full backs with huge engines for example. It depends on what the rest of the team looks like, and what the trade-offs are.
For LFC? Engine full backs work better as secondary providers of width behind wingers, with the energy and IQ to press OOP but also drop into an ultra low block on final transition.

Okay, I've improved upon this now. Replace Toure for Barcola. Put Yan on the right with Frimpong. Barcola and Rio are in the inside forward position. Barcola could also play striker and Gakpo could play left wing if we needed it. Wirtz can also play off the left if we want.
