Increasingly, the claim 'we voted for Brexit' is misleading, at best. Take my son & elder daughter, 27 & 24, they didn't get a vote in the 2016 Referendum. Their gran & grandad did, but as is the way with these things, they are both dead. How many more years to be asked again?

The state will not finance these things, neither the event called CPAC nor other related institutions such as the Mathias Corvinus Collegium and similar attached bodies. I believe the state should never have financed them in the first place, it was a crime. Mixing party financing with government spending from the state budget is, in my view, a criminal offense, and this will have to be investigated by the future authorities, including the National Office for the Recovery and Protection of Public Assets, since those budgetary funds were not meant to finance party events. CPAC is welcome to come to Budapest, very welcome, but it should not be financed with Hungarian taxpayers’ money. It should be funded by Fidesz, or by Orbán’s proxies, at least until that money is taken back.

@MorePerfectUS A more constructive way of understanding this is that automated driving could free up 2 million workers from the burden of driving and let them do other work. We then get the value of the driving plus the additional work.
This is how economies grow and we all get richer.

The Sabrina Carpenter incident reminded me of this Atlantic article originally titled “Why do White People Love Quiet?”.
The author was shocked that when she went to an Ivy League school her classmates expected her not to blast music at 2 in the morning.
Instead of internalizing this is how normal people act she made it racial.

According to him, once the changes are adopted, Viktor Orbán will no longer be able to return to the post, as he has already spent more than 20 years in power in total. For this to take effect, the amendments still need to be passed through a constitutional vote.
