@repvos No the sad day came when the Republican Party sold its principles to a silver spoon real estate conman and criminal in 2016. The sad day was when the GOP decided an attack on the U.S. Capitol wasn’t a big deal. The sad day was when the Republicans re-embraced Trump.

This is a sad day for America. Today's verdict is so politically motivated that it should surprise no one that conservatives everywhere, who typically revere the rule of law, have now completely lost faith in their justice system for fear of political persecution for the "crime" of being Republican. Being an American used to mean that the free exchange of ideas in our political system was how you won. Now, it appears Democrats have sought to change the definition by using the justice system in the most overt, unfair way to bludgeon their political opponent. This is what happens in other countries, not in the United States of America. The only thing that can right the wrong of this politically motivated persecution and restore balance to our now broken system is for Donald J. Trump to become our next president. We must all unite and work to insure he wins in November or this will only be the beginning of their vendettas.
