TBH this shitshow reminds me so much of those good ole' days of onchain investigations and my hobbyist mining pool shenanigan research days pre-2020. Block building has a critical role to play in improving application UX and security with ecosystem accountability and assurances in execution quality that impact the economic reality of who gets what and why. "In practice, execution outcomes on Ethereum are shaped by an ecosystem of actors operating under market forces: routers, solvers, searchers, sequencers, builders, relays, and validators—each specialized, each operating under different trust assumptions, each influencing who gets routed, who gets seen, who gets censored, who gets sandwiched, and who gets reliable execution under congestion." - Decentralized Building: Wat Do writings.flashbots.net/decentralized-… In 2026, we can and should do better, let's use our tech to go from "don't be evil" to "can't be evil", from ngmi to wagmi.

Insane story... Some guy tried to buy $50M of $AAVE on his phone, like 3% of the total supply, tapped through <INSANE SLIPPAGE AHEAD> warnings, ended up with only $40K of AAVE. Block builder made off with ~$40M, Aave refunds $600K of fees. Net result, AAVE token is down. 💀

Very impressed with gemini pro one-shotting an enclosure for this speaker based on a few photos with calipers (even got the mounting holes aligned!)

Excited to see this! Network-layer anonymity has been a missing piece of all the privacy primitives we've been building - both the onchain stuff (eg. railgun) and the offchain stuff (eg. the ZK API tickets) And there's a significant space of applications where the bandwidth reqs are small but latency matters a lot, so having something on the low-latency high-anonset side of the triangle matters a lot.

Ethereum is finally taking a page from the Solana playbook. FlashNet is a Network Anonymized Mempool that is IBRL! Forward your transactions in a Flash to block builders and FOCIL committee members while protecting your meta data⚡ 🧵 ⬇️ writings.flashbots.net/network-anonym…

13/ It should be no surprise that anonymity comes at a latency cost. Our first protocol, FlashNet, is inspired by DC Nets and in particular a variant ZIPNet which incorporates TEEs not for privacy, but for scalability. DC Nets are also the IBRL option (increase bandwidth, reduce latency), allowing them to cater to a competitive set of latency ranges for high frequency trading. 0/ For years, proponents of blockchain technology and markets have traded off DeFi execution for decentralization. 3 years ago, Flashbots proposed an escape hatch through a Single Unified Auction for Value Expression. But it’s been a while. How about an update? 🧵⬇️

We've mostly figured out "blockchains as databases" "Blockchains as execution engines" for efficient real-time coordination (i.e. block building) is much less well understood. This is a big picture update from us on how we are thinking about the problem and the related tech we've been cooking

Block building isn't a wart on modern blockchains - it's their engine. Three years ago, we first announced we are working on SUAVE, a decentralized block building network for all chains. Today, it's time for an update on progress and what's next. writings.flashbots.net/decentralized-…
