REALITY: The Iranian-backed terror group has previously fired HUNDREDS of drones and missiles at Israel, dating back to at least Oct. 7, 2023.
Nor is this the first time the AP has provided cover for the Houthis: Earlier this year the news agency wrongly reported that the group “sat out” the June 2025 war between Iran and Israel.
The practical effect of these errors (which conveniently seem to mostly flow in one direction) is obvious:
They downplay the scale of attacks Israel faces and reinforce a narrative that wrongly casts Israel as the aggressor.

The UN Security Council will vote tomorrow on a resolution insisting Iran allow commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
The measure has been significantly watered down & does not authorize the use of force. So really the UN will be asking Iran in a firm tone.
