RTE management are paid to manage contracts. The rest is opinion and one person’s opinion is worth as much as anyone else’s.

@JohnSimpsonNews It’s bizarre & sad, that a lot of people will trust unaccountable, biased & often anonymous sources rather than accountable, mostly transparent and honest sources such as the BBC.

In the last ten years or so we’ve seen so much anger, mistrust and hatred seeping into British life, mostly though not entirely influenced by what’s going on in the US. This tweet is an example. People here are ruder, angrier and more extreme than they used to be.

@GerardPMc1 @ItWasRoth SUVs are higher and that absolutely restricts visibility ahead, just like vans. Do you have a problem with vans? Do you want to restrict or ban them? Lot's of people drive vans instead of cars.

There is a real suv bashing mania going on, typically lacking any real knowledge or analysis. A significant share of SUVs are actually lighter than the average car, and of the large SUVs many are commercial vehicles e.g 100% of Ford Ranger. Of course SUV is never defined!

@ItWasRoth @MorgenrothEdgar I accept your data about 63 Q7s. However, there are other smaller more common suvs that also restrict vision for saloon car drivers. Overall, I found the IT article more persuasive, based on practical experience. However, for now, it’s a fre country.

@ItWasRoth @MorgenrothEdgar I drive a saloon. My gripe also, is if you park next to an suv, you’re reversing from a parking spot, without seeing clearly. Today, an Audi Q7 parked beside me. It was like being beside a large commercial vehicle. No, a badly parked Micro does not have that affect.
