Yet another parenting milestone: when you’re heading away for a conference, and instead of your children wondering how they will survive without you, they only want to know if you are taking the car or leaving it for them.

Valuable thread with important key ideas for recruitment/retention in rural. There is an overarching need for a rural health care strategy - national and provincial - that can coordinate evidence based supports and "rural-proofed" policies that support clinicians and teams.

Well this seems normal and unconcerning.

Women’s hockey is awesome because it’s like, “omg hi! How are you, how are the kids, haven’t seen you in ages” and then the puck drops and we’re immediately the worst enemies cutting each other off and getting in each others faces it’s so satisfying 😂

I am continuing to give potentially curative chemotherapy but my patients can’t get emergency care for febrile neutropenia, suddenly the risk of death goes up. Esp. during respiratory virus season. We can’t give antibiotics or other meds at the cancer centre. This is disastrous.

@AnaWerlang2 I mean some people really like their shoes, pay attention to shoes, realize how much their shoes improve their health and their lives, believe good shoes are worth their cost…others just take their shoes for granted, until one day they’re gone. Metaphor still holds! 👟 👞 👠

@GowerMD Are you kidding me? I love shoes, I collect shoes, shoes are the best part of my outfit. I love shoes so much I actually have a dedicated space in my house for my shoes. Maybe I should be considered to solve the problem of Canadians with no shoes? 🙃👠
