@H1BExpose These fines are not even really material at all. It has to be a material punishment, like 15% of total revenues.
That would be objectively material and would force massive systemic overhaul to ensure it does not happen again.

Meta had thousands of high-paying jobs.
Then made sure Americans couldn’t get them.
When a visa worker wanted a green card, Facebook ditched its normal hiring and actively pushed US workers away from those roles.
The result?
The largest discrimination penalty in the history of US immigration law.
The price tag: $14.25 million.
For Meta, that’s not a punishment.
That’s a Tuesday.
When the fine is cheaper than the compliance, it’s not a deterrent.
It’s a business model.

H-1B FRAUD RING BUSTED IN CALIFORNIA
Sampath Rajidi and Sreedhar Mada, both 51, of Dublin, CA, just pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit visa fraud.
Rajidi ran two IT staffing firms (S-Team Software, Uptrend Technologies). Mada was the Chief Information Officer at UC Agriculture & Natural Resources in Davis.
Here’s the scheme:
They filed H-1B petitions claiming foreign workers would staff “University of California” projects. Mada used his UC title to make it look legit.
The jobs didn’t exist.
Once the visas were approved, they quietly marketed those workers to OTHER employers, having already secured the H-1B slots on false pretenses.
Both face up to 5 years + $250K fines. Sentencing is July 30.
The program isn’t broken by accident. It gets gamed on purpose.

Apple paid $25 million to make this quietly disappear.
The DOJ found Apple ran a separate, worse hiring process for green-card roles, one designed so US workers wouldn’t find or apply for the jobs. Paper ads instead of its own website. Mailed applications in 2023. Postings kept off the systems every other Apple role lives on.
The result: the largest recovery ever by DOJ’s Immigrant and Employee Rights section. $6.75 million in penalties. $18.25 million in back pay to the US workers who got shut out.
This is one of the most valuable companies on earth. It didn’t do this to save money. It did it because the system let it.
Apple settled. It didn’t admit fault. The $25 million speaks for itself.

@H1BExpose Spread the word
Since H1B visa fraud is confirmed, USCIS should Suspend or Pause Premuim (Fast) visa processing option immediately
With regular processing, they get time to validate H1B visas and can reject all fraudulent ones
This will open thousands of jobs to Americans
