@badaude My 82 year old dad just ran 4 plays for children aged 4 to 12 with 100 kids taking part. If he didn’t engage with the school in dramatic arts, no one would. Our younger generations risk losing some of the most important parts of our culture because our elderly are sidelined.

...& dismissing older ppl as fuddy duddies seems too much in line with the way capitalism runs on a cycle of 'newness', making older generations disposable & minimising their power to help younger and (any age) emerging artists

thx for replying to so many ppl individually & for your willingness to change tho diff generations have diff experiences of the oppressions you work against, intergenerational distain is a tool of those who want to break solidarity between artists & defund the arts/humanities
