What sets them apart from other DLT networks is that they have Metagraphs on there which are sort of like smart contracts but with much more capabilities. They allow for much further in depth programming language and use cases of how businesses can better leverage data. Their network overall is heavily focused on scalability for data & has even collaborated with defense agencies and data marketplaces for expanding on the use cases and security of data. As of the past year, $DAG has revamped their network to Hypergraph Mainnet 2.0 and with that they've formed some interesting collaborations and expansions. They've built further on their collaboration with Dor to enable for further use and monetization of foot traffic tracked by Dor Traffic Miners. Which operate similarly to nodes by distributing rewards to Dor Traffic Miner owners who supply the network with relevant data. Additionally they've recently just expanded their advisory board in the enterprise space with a variety of professionals. These members range from US air defense, financial giants like Frank Templeton & World Bank, to large Fortune500 companies like Coke, Proctor Gamble & many others! This has also led them to their recent involvement with the National DigiFoundry DAO as an initial founding member alongside Microsoft, National Science Foundation, IBM & others. $HBAR is a Layer 1 network that runs on a unique patented Hashgraph mechanism. It operates similar to directed acyclic graphs (DAG) though the way the Hashgraph is built is quite unique. As the Hedera governing council is largely made of up to 39 large corporations & institutions spread around the globe that govern the network. From companies like Google, IBM, EDF & Shinhan Bank, FIS (WorldPay), etc. To institutions like IIT Madras, UCL & LSE. Hedera also offers specific services hosted on their network in the form of tokenization, consensus, smart contracts, stablecoins & ESG. Over the past year $HBAR has seen significant advancements in their ecosystem progress as their network now boasts well over 30 billion total transactions.
