⚡ 100,000 km in an EV: ₹7.19 Lakh Saved, 10 Tonnes CO₂ Offset & 476 Trees Planted
In February 2021, I made a conscious decision to switch to electric mobility and brought home the Tata Nexon EV Prime XZ+. Back then, Faridabad had no public chargers, and range anxiety was very real. But I believed in the future. It was time to walk the talk.
Fast forward to July 2025:
✅ 100,000 km driven
✅ ₹89,500 total charging cost
✅ ₹85,000 total service cost (including wire harness repair)
✅ 7,700 litres of petrol saved
✅ 10,000 kg of CO₂ emissions avoided
✅ 476 trees worth of carbon offset
✅ ₹7.19 lakh saved in fuel alone

💡 All ABB DC chargers used were installed during my tenure as Country Business Head, ABB eMobility India.
💡I use the AC only when driving with family, not just to extend range, but to reduce overall energy consumption and minimize environmental impact with every kilometer

ICE Car CO₂/km : 180g/km = 18,000 kg for 100,000 km
EV CO₂/km (India grid avg. 24% RE) : 80g/km = 8,000 kg
