Friday concluded our week of 10 year anniversary celebrations with a gathering at our Skipton office. Everyone had a great time and is ready to keep supporting the people of North Yorkshire whatever difficulties they encounter with #addiction, and helping them into #recovery
Thursday saw the Selby team at North Yorkshire Horizons celebrating 10 years of delivering support for drug and alcohol use to the local community and surrounding area! Dozens of visitors came along to join in the fun alongside staff, volunteers and people that use the service.
Kick off Day 1 #Lab24 with @JamesTCobbler @ItsGroundswell @Humankind_UK @RevDoors on the Right to Participation in public policy. Involve people affected by an issue in creating policy solutions and services to get better outcomes. @AmnestyUK delighted to support the session.

This is big and great news for both of our organisations and the people we support. Very much looking forward to being part of this journey and working to push and develop the services we provide.
When I joined the sector I was told “people who use drugs can’t access mental health support, and people with mental health needs can’t access support around drug use”. Sadly, DCB report cited it’s still true in many areas. This is an opportunity to own this issue. So exciting!
We've looked in the mirror and decided to change ourselves quite radically. Next year we'll merge with @rfmentalhealth to create a unified drug/alcohol, mental health & housing offer to support people facing #multipledisadvantage. It's a big task but we are super excited!
