@InfinityArk @HollowfoxAlt @animeupdates Yep, instead of back to back rivative shows. We get subpar/samey titles that go on forever, or never see a second season. The good titles seem to be the ones that forever or never return. Like reliving the cancellation of that cult hit show "Firefly" yearly... 😔

Been seeing alot of talk about original animated works. I thought I'd provide some of my own opinions. One reason alot of them don't do well is they play it safe. People can easily get that from adaptions. You need to push the envelope in ways that adaptions won't.

@ui_frara I agree and I'm glad such a talented artists is letting us see so many of them! Xenogears had those after story pictures in perfect works. But sadly no such thing officially exists for Xenoblade Chronicles.😑

@HonestToCritic @HollowfoxAlt @animeupdates Back in the day it was about 50/50. Half original and half manga/lite novels or video games. Now we're lucky if we get one a season and they push no boundaries nor try anything new with small exceptions. We don't intend to make our work like that.

@InfinityArk @HollowfoxAlt @animeupdates Thank you! Most of arguably the best anime ever created were 24 to 26 episodes long, or shorter. The best animes of today aren't based on manga or shonen imo. They are based on light novels, most manga lack depth and try to go on forever... 🤷

Lastly pick a style and concept that isn't widely used right now. You want your work to stand out from the rest. It might not be fair but remember you are competing against all those adaption that already have popularity so you have to go further push harder! Good luck!

Try not to copy a given formula and really explore the boundaries. Do themes and topics other works won't touch, include content that you can't find mainstream. Adult situations, nudity, and graphic violence when appropriate will make your work stand out more.
