Hello all! You may have seen Cisco has performed some layoffs recently. My role in Cisco's DevNet team, a group focused on developer advocacy, network programmability and API quality was eliminated. I’m seeking a new role and would appreciate your support. If you hear of any opportunities or just want to catch up, please send me a message or comment below. I’d love to reconnect! About me & what I’m looking for: 💼 I’m looking for Director of Information Technology and Distinguished Engineer roles. 🌎 I’m open to roles in Raleigh, but flexible if the opportunity is right. ⭐ If you've been to a CiscoLive conference or followed my posts here you've seen some breadcrumbs of the kind of work I do in Network Management, Automation, Orchestration, Network Programmability and Observability.

GitHub Codespaces, along with tools like NetLab and ContainerLab make it easy to create and share labs. netautlabs.net has the goal of sharing network automation labs open source. Hopefully, many more labs are coming soon.

I just returned from the #AutoCon1 conference and had an incredible time! 🚀 I’ve published a new blog post, "From X25 to Kubernetes: Key Takeaways from AutoCon1," where I summarize my key findings and share my perspective on some popular discussions. lnkd.in/eQNcgnur

Delving into Ansible basics with my students - is vital, even if it's not my top pick. Understanding its fundamentals and limitations is crucial in today's automation landscape. Here's a collaborative drawing we did together to visualize its concepts. #Ansible #networkautomation

🚀 Loving #Pydantic! 😊 Version 2's BeforeValidator and AliasPath are game-changers, making data structure transformations a breeze. Excited about the efficiency and joy it brings to #Python #NetworkAutomation! 💻✨

💣 3...2...1... New release! containerlab.dev/rn/0.44/ Containerlab 0.44 brings goodies: 1 Link impairments using tools netem command allows you to make your link stutter like if you're using an "ISP" your college friend built and sold to the whole dorm in 90s

@InfraAsCode @danieldibswe oh wow, I know @ubaumann_ch and I desperately need Wemulate to support interface in containers so that we can hook it up with containerlab. This might be a killer combo.

For an easy way to try NUTS, I created a @go_containerlab demo. It is based on the example 5-stage Clos fabric topology. It uses the NAPALM srlinux driver. github.com/network-unit-t… If this post gets 100 likes, I will create gNMI-based test cases. 😉

This is an excellent summary of YAML peculiarities by @arp242_martin arp242.net/yaml-config.ht… But I don't think I share the sentiment of "don't use YAML". These standard fallacies like `yes->True` and `013->octal` are so rare compared to software bugs in the business logic, almost negligible.
