@jackofallgames7 @AspyrMedia Absolutely, it's so frustrating. In the various updates, we've seen a ton of texture fixes (both OG and modern modes), which is already a massive amount of retouching work. It's so frustrating that they weren't allowed to finish the job the way they wanted to.

@IsatisAngel @AspyrMedia That’s what I mean. I never blame Saber. This is a result of Aspyr. I saw this because I could see the work they were doing to remove the AI but never given the resources.

@jackofallgames7 @AspyrMedia It’s clear that AI was used from the start due to a lack of time and resources, but most of the remaster is the work of humans. I think we can forgive Saber for that (even though it's still a pity). It wasn’t just a matter of being lazy, cheap, or incompetent, like with Patch 5.

@AspyrMedia The whole original Trilogy is full of AI textures instead of handcrafted remade textures and they’re not even good. Some you can’t even make out what you’re looking at. You should have someone fix those and maybe we might believe you that AI wasn’t used elsewhere.

@politicharry @AspyrMedia I can forgive Saber for the AI textures because they were short on time and money to remaster six games in two years, with insane pressure. But I can’t forgive Aspyr for the AI-generated CR Patch artwork, icons, and hideous outfits that have nothing to do with TR. It’s outrageous

Please, keep in mind that in this kind of photo, we’re seeing Sophie Turner shooting the series, not Lara Croft. If a blooper reel for the series exists, this could be a scene included in it, for example. Maybe she flubbed a take or made a little goof. Don’t rush to conclusions.

@infinityTRaider Faits d'une seule texture, et avec toutes les faces dessinées, ce qui compresse encore plus la qualité. Ces abrutis ne savent même pas étendre par miroir une texture dont on dessine une seule face par économie (quand les 2 sont identiques). Un des B.A. BA du jeu vidéo.

@tombraider It’s TR 1–3 Remastered that’s not surviving your disastrous Patch 5 / Challenge Mode, which introduced tons of game-breaking bugs, on top of outfits of hideous quality. Are you trying to celebrate TR’s 30th anniversary this year, or are you trying to kill it off for good?

@TR_Texture Unfortunately, I think they are the ones who are not ready to give the time, budget, love and respect necessary to really competent people to do a good job (Saber in particular). 😰

Regarding the remaster update: instead of adding outfits that have nothing to do with Tomb Raider, Aspyr should focus on fixing bugs and removing many AI-generated textures. I’m ready to provide Aspyr with the original materials used by Core Design in the 90s — just get in touch.
