It's a lot of work (and money) to do this and the Tomb Raider Level Editor community already exists for custom adventures. No instead something like what was made for the remasters (a talented company like Saber hiring some of the most talented people of the community) is the best idea IMO. A few people are also currently working on Legacy of Atlantis at Flying Wild Hog (at least 2 of them, not sure if there are more involved).

The second major Tomb Raider game, Catalyst from developer Crystal Dynamics, has been stealthily delayed.
According to the Amazon Games boss, the company wants to first focus on bolstering its streaming service, Luna. That way, when Catalyst does come out, people will associate Luna with Tomb Raider.

The problem with them is that they tend to give the work to an external company (generally the cheapest they could find) and simply paste their name on it afterwards, like it happened with the Challenge Mode recently.
The best idea would be either another company working under Embracer or I was thinking PlayEveryWare, who recently worked on Legacy of Kain Defiance Remastered as they seem to be a solid company.

The first level of TRL was full of waterfalls and flooded locations, but they could have been expanded much more, not only in the caves but also in the ruins themselves at a later stage.

One thing I’d love to see from this: Tomb Raider: Underworld and its Xbox 360-exclusive expansions finally preserved and playable on PC.
Maybe it’s wishful thinking, but a fan can hope. Fingers crossed. 🤞

Microsoft could be getting ready to bring Xbox 360 games to PC. After the company released support for original Xbox games on the Xbox app, dataminers found hidden references to “Fission,” the emulator Microsoft uses to run Xbox 360 games on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Some devs even managed to get a few Xbox 360 games running on the new PC emulator, including Plants vs. Zombies and Steins;Gate: My Darling’s Embrace. It’s still very early, and many games don’t work yet.

Today's bad news:
According to Jeff Gattis, General Manager of Amazon Games, Tomb Raider: Catalyst is now targeting a 2028 release, as mentioned in his interview with The Game Business on YouTube.
Looks like Lara Croft fans will have to wait a little longer to discover her brand new adventure. 😔
