I have done nothing but post scripture here. Unlike Smith who plagiarized most everything he wrote, as a traditionally published author, if I was quoting someone, I would give my source. I know how important it is to give credit where credit is due. I’ve done it already on other threads when I do use other sources. Nice try though.

About the absurd idea the Latter-Day Saints/Mormons are Christian: Army wife here. 21 moves in 32 years of my husband’s career. I am also former Roman Catholic until I married my husband 46 years ago. I will just name some of the churches in the U.S. and Europe that we attended and/or visited extensively: Catholic, Nazarene, Baptist, Pentecostal, Evangelical, Nondenominational, Army Chapel (which means essentially Protestant as the Catholics have their on on bases) etc. Not one ever had a Book of Mormon. Not one taught about Smith. They all taught about the Jesus Christ of the Bible and they all had a Bible, every single one, in every pew. In addition—in every single Christian bookstore all over the earth that I often frequented, not one single Book of Mormon is sold or any other LDS materials. Not one anywhere in America or Europe. LDS have to have their own Deseret bookstore because their church is not Christian. Their materials are not Christian. Catholics and Protestants are exceedingly different but we agree there is only One True God. LDS believe in countless gods and that they can become gods someday. definitely ask God for wisdom or other things. And I believe can show us. However, that doesn't mean we have a genie telling us every answer. Otherwise why do you need the bible at all sir? You wouldn't, youd just ask and God could show you on the spot. We have the bible as a touchstone. Also have evidence, rules of logic, reason, critical thinking, these are all valid tools we should and can use. They aren't worldly or pagan or anything. Bible says "come let us reason together" Isaiah 1:18. It commends the Bereans "Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true." Act 17:11.

I don't even think most Mormons are doing this on purpose. I think they are repeating what conned them. It's bad fruit from the original Joseph Smith conman tree.

And the numbers are crazy: 56% of every stock purchase made by Congress in the last 16 months was on a stock directly affected by a bill the buyer later voted on. That is 6,170 out of 11,016 total purchases. More than HALF of all congressional stock buys are on companies whose fate that same politician is about to decide. 343 of 540 Congress members actively trade stocks while holding access to nonpublic legislative information. That is 63.8% of the entire legislature making market bets with an informational edge that would put any hedge fund manager in prison. The AI identified 752 active "Triple Signals" in the current Congress. A Triple Signal fires when three conditions line up at once: The politician sits on the committee controlling a bill, they traded stock in a company affected by that bill, AND they received campaign contributions from that same industry. Bills carrying these insider indicators pass at 5.4 TIMES the normal rate.
