@actsofapostles_ My parents refused to mediate any fights and if we tattled on each other they would just say "I'm sorry to hear that dear"

@NoblestCalling This worked in my family. I'm not sure if it will work anywhere else. Whenever the kids would fight we'd calmly say that our family doesn't fight. Not in an angry, exasperated, scolding or disappointed tone. We are stating a fact dispassionately. Eventually it worked.

@NoblestCalling I’m generally against to deliver services, I think fast food delivery is especially overrated & WAY overpriced. But Walmart+ is worth every penny. It’s cheap and you never have to step foot inside the Walmart.

I fear you guys were right about Walmart+ being worth it. I am using and abusing grocery delivery.

@oliveegger When Sam Rockwell was on SNL, he mentioned that he is exactly the right level of famous. Famous enough to consistently get jobs but not famous enough to be recognized everywhere he goes

I think if I was a celebrity I would never go outside. Or I would hire the guy who makes the Joe Biden masks to make disguises for me

@Volga_Boating Yeah, prior to being able to track crimes across multiple jurisdictions we just didn't notice they were serial killers

@saintdutchess If any brown kid would do this to their friend they would get their ass whooped for a week straight but also as a south asian the very concept of not offering your guest food is incomprehensible

@NoblestCalling @kateiswell Peacock is the most underrated perk! Every Curious George episode is very helpful for our family. And we watched the World Cup in Spanish as an added bonus.

@Billy_Ocean_ It's definitely one of the better ones visually but the music still makes me cringe every time Spotify throws it into the mix for me

I agree with this take but it’s insane that our live action versions are getting so bad people are going back and re-evaluating Aladdin, based on how reactions to it were initially
🕷 Scαя ᴱᴰᴹ@_Scarlettftw_

Y por eso, una vez más, se me da la razón de que el live action de Aladdin ha sido de lo mejor hasta ahora Miren el baile del Genio como mantiene el aura caricaturizado y tremenda coreografía que se tira Como amo este live action, locooooo

"We only want to welcome people who repent" gets it exactly backwards. Welcoming people and loving them as they are now is a large part of how you inspire them to want to repent. God doesn't withhold his love until we repent. We love him because he loved us first.

@sivori I think it's fine to go to the movies alone but your example is bad. People do book clubs because they love hashing out their thoughts on the book right after reading it just like people love talking about the movie in the parking lot together afterwards

I always go to the movies alone just like I always read books alone. When I want to read a book, I don't invite three of my friends over to read it with me. That would be mental. If there's any activity less conducive to connecting with your friends, it is sitting silently in a dark room while you are riveted to something happening on a screen. Like books, one's taste in films tends to depend on mood and interest.

People really loved crap in the 90s. Stupid collectible garbage and free t shirts and shit. Nowadays people don’t want so much crap in their houses anymore.

@NoblestCalling @thechosenberg Haha, genuinely, why is she thinking about this enough to make a Reddit post? This is so normal - I remember as a teen my best conversations about my day with my mom were at like 9pm on her bed.
