You shouldn't have to "move for the schools".

@Mainz0505 @united6059 @JoJoFromJerz No @Mainz0505 it was YOUR concern that it be “as a means of birth control”. Saving the life of the mother or because of sever complications isn’t “as a means of birth control” it’s a medical necessity and gut wrenching. YOU moved the goal post.

Republicans are trying to find a new term for “pro-life” because it’s hurting them electorally. But here’s the thing, they’ve never been pro-life. Forcing a 10 year old to carry her rapist’s fetus to term isn’t pro-life. Threatening to imprison a woman for having an abortion isn’t pro-life. Forcing seniors to pay more for their prescriptions, denying gender affirming care, lying about masks & vaccine safety, cutting healthcare access for our Veterans, rolling back child labor laws, denying starving children free meals at school, making guns easier to get and offering thoughts & prayers only in the wake of yet another mass shooting isn’t pro-life. It doesn’t matter how they “brand” themselves. It’s not about a word. It’s about their actions. About their platforms & policies. They care about forcing birth, restricting rights & limiting personal freedom. They care about control. And that is anything BUT pro-life.

@PodSaveAmerica Not to be misunderstood as a Haley fan in anyway, but her absolutely refusing to be interrupted was pretty fun to watch.

@h2o2kat_kat @PodSaveAmerica Absolutely. It’s the final “I’m having a hard time making out what you’re saying” was entirely for his own amusement. And I am here for it.

@PodSaveAmerica I like that Buttigieg couldn't believe what he was hearing, so made him repeat the statement.

It’s almost like you’ve never been in an actual school before, lol.

“If they're homeschooled, how will they learn to socialize with other kids?” Let’s walk through the type of “socialization” kids get at government schools. - They sit in the same room all day with kids their own age - They are dictated to by a teacher for most of the day - They have to ask for permission to go to the bathroom - Except for short breaks, they only get to talk to others in a controlled environment - They have a higher chance of experiencing physical violence than at any other time in their life This type of “socialization” is overrated. It looks nothing like real life. It will never be replicated again unless they go to prison. Worse, it transfers influence from the parents to peers and hired professionals. No thanks. If you have an older boy ready to fight and survive in a hostile environment, public school can provide that testing ground for him. But don’t call it socialization. The idea of sticking kids into a classroom for 6 hours per day with kids their own age is still relatively new. While you don’t want to insulate your children, homeschooling can provide a much better environment for what people call socialization and you don’t have to try very hard or be very creative. - Siblings - Grandparents - Co-ops - Churches - Sports leagues - Public parks - Neighborhood kids - Charity work And much more. It’s called life. Have your kids order their own food at restaurants and be polite to the waiter, and that will go a long way as well. Homeschooling doesn’t work for everyone, but it can work for a whole lot more people than you think.

The *I* in LGBTQI+ destroys the idea that God creates and mandates 2 genders only. 🧵 I = INTERSEX "Intersex" is the term used for those who do not fit into standard medical descriptions of male or female. 1/8

If a student in an English class is 1 percent away from passing the class with just one more essay due, do you: 1. Pass them if their work is “decent.” 2. Teach them the lesson of not being so close to the edge. FAIL. 3. Give opportunities for extra credit? 4. Something else?

Before I go to bed, I want to say something. Unless your asking for donations to supply your classroom/school, telling people you work at a title 1 school unprompted is probably unnecessary. It especially shouldn't come up when the intelligence of young people is the discussion

@merrysaysboof @heymrsbond I have mixed feelings about this. I’ve seen real hurt from kids who have only a single clap from the audience and a “popular” kid get all the whoops and hollars. That’s not really the point of this OP, but I have seen celebrations become hurtful and that’s uncool too.
