@ModestTeacher The clip had nothing to do w/ sharing, as you claimed. It’s a response to Mamdani’s directive that individuals should be good little communists and limit their energy use. Democratic Socialists of America, aka pre-communists. You seemed to have some idea, not NONE.

You just crystallized what has gone wrong with schools and America. In the good old days their was no forced Communism in grade schools. You had your school supplies you were responsible for, you respected others property. Now Ms. Sparklefarts forces you to buy 100 pencils for the kids who lose theirs, break theirs, and gnaw them to stubbs daily. It's the elementary teachers who are instilling Communism on our children...

New York: it's hot out there, and the power grid is working overtime to keep us cool. Set your AC to 78 degrees, turn off lights/electronics you're not using, and unplug what you can. Our City is doing its part too: maintaining the 78 degrees rule in our buildings, dimming/turning off our lights during peak electricity demand, asking private partners to do the same, and powering down non-essential equipment. A stable grid means the AC stays on, and lives are saved. Let's ease demand — and get through the heat — together.
