That makes no sense at all. Raw scans always look flat if you’re viewing log footage without a LUT — that’s literally the point. You’re not seeing the image quality, you’re seeing log material displayed incorrectly in linear space. In other words, this proves absolutely nothing except that someone doesn’t understand the pipeline.

Breaking: Microsoft quietly removes Copilot branding from Notepad and Snipping Tool on Windows 11.
Microsoft appears to be doing exactly what it promised after the Windows quality reset.
Notepad has now removed Copilot branding and replaced it with a simpler “Writing tools” icon, while Snipping Tool no longer seems to show the Copilot button.
AI is still there, but Microsoft is clearly stepping back from plastering Copilot branding across Windows 11.
Honestly, this is probably the smarter move, as users were tired of seeing Copilot branding.

China is tightening the internet leash again.
Reports say Chinese data center operators (IDC providers) have been ordered to fully crack down on “circumvention” (VPN / bypassing the firewall) starting April 1. This time, there’s no vague wording like “traffic forwarding” or “security risks.” The directive is explicit: eliminate “illegal cross-border access.”
Facilities that fail to comply risk permanent shutdown and financial penalties. As a result, many VPN-style services (“airports”) are already raising prices, shutting registrations, or switching to less stable direct connections.
This isn’t just enforcement. It’s escalation.
China is moving from tolerated grey zones → zero tolerance control.
The implication is clear:
• Less access to global information
• Higher costs for those trying to bypass controls
• Tighter state grip over data flows and narratives
If even infrastructure providers are being forced into compliance, what space is left for a truly open internet inside China?

After North Vietnam conquered the south, they straight up murdered about 60,000 people in re-education camps and another 250,000 boat people died trying to escape the re-education camps. The bad guys won the Vietnam War, and all my boomer buddies who look on the NVA and VC fondly are blind and deaf and retarded. That includes Lucas. That said, the modern Vietnam are mostly not the evil and corrupt men that were committing the atrocities, and I'm sure they're unaware of those atrocities.
