I just watched an exceptional 4K video presentation for a 1981 film. CUTTER’S WAY on 4K UHD Blu-ray Limited Edition. Coming March 24 via Radiance Films.
The 35mm source looks phenomenal and the amount of film grain left intact is just downright beautiful. There’s a massive amount of detail to be found in every shot, especially in close-ups. This also runs one very high bitrate around 90Mbps.
The folks at Radiance Films have truly hit a home run here. This is on par with the UHD presentation of a Criterion or Arrow title. 5 out of 5 for video quality. Easily. Highly recommended. Jeff Bridges and John Heard star in a very unique crime thriller. This motion picture deserves the appreciation that it has received here on this release.

AMPAS/Oscar CEO Bill Kramer apparently blocked me on Instagram last night after seeing my post expressing disappointment about the broadcast’s In Memoriam omission of my father.
You truly can’t make this stuff up.

So incredibly disappointed and heartbroken that the #Oscars and AMPAS chose not to include my father, David Keighley, and his immeasurable contributions to IMAX and cinema in the In Memoriam segment in the broadcast. I will never forget.
