@TDxsandos @FDPlayBook Here we go again! 😂
We just do what our kids understand, even if it’s not the way we were taught.

@UMichFootball Coach Hanson was by far my favorite Michigan coach. He was so friendly and personable at their football clinics. RIP Coach

There are people suffering on the streets with nowhere to go
But you have your dog in a spa
Have some introspection

@DawnWil56730811 @TheFieldOf68 What an honor for Jaxon, I never got a chance to meet my great grandfather. One passed away in 1918, the other, 1936
English

@TheFieldOf68 I was able to be at this in person. Fantastic senior night with a win. It was very touching when Jaxon hugged his great-grandfather. Most kids don’t even get the chance to meet a great grandpa, alone a veteran.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Go MSU!!!

"Roger Maris wasn’t Mickey Mantle.
He wasn’t charming the media with a wink and a quote.
He didn’t have the effortless swing or the golden-boy glow.
What Maris had was grit.
A body that ached every summer, a heart that beat faster with every harsh headline, and a will strong enough to carry him through the loneliest home run chase in baseball history.
In 1961, the pressure on Roger Maris wasn’t just immense — it was cruel.
Chasing Babe Ruth’s sacred 60 felt like a sin to the old-timers.
The fans booed him.
The writers doubted him.
The Commissioner himself carved an asterisk into history before the season even ended.
And still, Roger kept swinging.
Sixty-one home runs.
In a single season.
No steroids.
No scandals.
Just pure strength, stubbornness, and a man doing his job under a microscope that never blinked.
And yet, when the celebration came… it didn’t.
There was no hero’s parade, no instant elevation to Yankee royalty.
Maris was never fully embraced, not in the way others were.
Even the team that watched him make history seemed hesitant to make him a permanent part of theirs."
Roger Maris didn’t even reach 30 percent of the writers’ vote in the first 11 years he was on the HOF ballot.
Roger Maris is the only eligible American League player who has won two Most Valuable Player Awards that is NOT a member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame!!!
ALWAYS in my HOF!!!!

"The imprint of baseball greatness is upon Mickey Mantle just as surely as the portrait of Thomas Jefferson graces the current three-cent stamp, but it may still take a while before the American sporting public becomes aware of the magnitude of Mickey's talents."
Harold Rosenthal.
"There isn't any more that I can teach him."
Tommy Henrich on Mickey Mantle, in spring training in 1951.
"Forget what I said."
Bill Dickey after Mickey Mantle explodes a bazooka shot off a seat in the upper deck at Yankee Stadium, while just moments before Dickey had been telling his teammates that Babe Ruth and Jimmy Foxx hit balls further than Mickey Mantle.
"You guys got to see this kid we have in camp.
Out of class C ball, hits 'em both ways, five-hundred feet both ways!
You've got to see him.
He’s the greatest prospect I’ve seen in my time, and I go back quite a ways.
I’ll swear I expect to see that boy just take off and fly any time.
I thought when I was playing with Ruth and Gehrig I was seeing all I was ever gonna see.
But this kid Mantle?
Ruth and Gehrig had power, but I’ve seen Mickey hit seven balls, seven so far….
Well, I’ve never seen nothing like it."
Bill Dickey.

@nezzy21 @gus_kapolka In my opinion, Coach Sigler’s T offense was more simplified than today’s Power T. I stand to be corrected.
English

@gus_kapolka How does the Power T differ from Sigler’s T? Seemed he leaned more on fullback trap and Power T base play is more the Off-Tackle Power play
