@BBGreatMoments Totally agree, so many variables. A backdoor slider is a type a pitch that starts outside the strike zone and then breaks back over the plate. This pitch is often used to fool hitters into thinking it's a ball, only for it to catch the strike zone at the last moment.
Batter strikes out swinging at all 3 pitches. Ump forgets the count. Entire stadium forgets the count. Then he walks on only 3 balls. No one in the entire place including pitcher and catcher noticed. I've never seen anything like it.
@QuantumAlteredX I thought this was April Fools for sure but it happened yesterday March 31, 2026. Bottom of the 5th between Red Sox and Astros and here’s the play by play from ESPN where he clearly had 3 strikes
As much sht as people talk about LeBron @kingjames and Luka @lukadoncic and the NBA in general... How tf with James AND Doncic not #1... And even more... Why everybody always talking about LeBron trades? Like they can't win it? If LeBron and Doncic can't be in The NBA Finals the Lakers... That's fd up
Has LeBron James whole career and every accomplishment, statistic, and verbal pop-culture commentary, now just a series of flops and faking injuries? (asking for)? Replay a mfr
All you have is rent-a-manager. All the full time employed ones are with their teams getting ready for the real season.
There is no waking up to be done.
Part of the issue is a significant percentage of the latin players play all winter long in their home country leagues. And it showed. Their hitters were on time. The US players don't play and a handful of spring training abs don't get them up to speed.
Hopefully this is a wake-up call for USA Baseball. That was the best lineup they could’ve possibly fielded and they failed. We lost at our own sport. Venezuela was outstanding.
You can’t have a rent-a-manager and Aaron Judge as your captain if you truly want to win.
@4thandsaturday Full... anything close... Does ANYBODY have a side view? The side view is what shows whether it was close-- Where it crosses that front knee. The box and the doodle lol... Where is the side view... Anybody got it?
That is not a strike. It’s not.
However imo if your Geraldo Perdomo you got to swing the bat on a ball that close on a 3-2 count with the tournament on the line.
Still hate to see it come down to the ump but you gotta swing.
@barstoolsports@Hogdale_@MLB Despite the bad call, whether USA wins or loses, it is still a win for MLB financially. The Americans will still watch MLB regardless of what happens with WBC.
Mark DeRosa is there to spread playing time and make players happy and create parody for WBC-- Not real coach. Just entertainment because @MLB wants to widen the brand and sees the potential for international revenue growth. The USA team is fundamentally a commercial. The USA team is only needed for money.
Bryce Harper couldn’t stand the dirty play from Caminero here.
Gotta be a loser to strike out and then try to run outside the baseline on a drop third strike lol.
A-Rod, Jeter, Ortiz handling it good in post-game but @MLB needs to get rid of the box on the screen-- It isn't even correct and it takes away from game. They show a box sometimes that shows a ball 6 inches outside, then show video where the ball hits the corner.
What sucks about the USA DR game is that last call... Folks gonna be saying it is rigged. Umps want a hamburger by the 4th inning and HATE extra innings and by the 7th inning are questioning their career choice... Find me an umpire that doesn't hate even a chance of extra innings.
