We're proud to highlight the incredible work of Dr. Shailendra Singh @shailsingh of West Virginia University, who is helping redefine treatment pathways for pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PNETs), insulinomas, pancreatic adenocarcinoma and cancer related intractable pain, using Endoscopic Ultrasound–Guided Radiofrequency Ablation (EUS-RFA). “This noble device enables highly precise ablation under real-time EUS guidance... an important addition to our therapeutic EUS capabilities,” says Dr. Singh. Real-World Case: Dr. Singh successfully treated an 80-year-old patient with a functional pancreatic insulinoma using EUS-RFA. The patient, ineligible for surgery due to severe comorbidities, experienced immediate symptom resolution and sustained clinical improvement, highlighting the power of this minimally invasive approach. Dr. Singh recently presented pilot data on EUS-RFA for pain control at DDW 2025, reinforcing its potential for high-risk patients and palliative care.
