I played the absolute hell out of it during summer vacation that year! I rented it on GameCube from Blockbuster and had a blast with it. It did that super annoying thing where the best lines from the movie got kinda butchered in the game, but honestly? It was surprisingly replayable and held up way better than most movie tie-ins. The Game Boy Advance version, though? Whew, that one was REALLY difficult—brutal in the best/worst way!

Awesome fight! I love how cocky Price is—he doesn't even take a proper stance at the start. He just keeps that smug grin plastered on his face the whole time and smoothly sheds his jacket after landing a solid hit. He doesn't even bother keeping his guard up... then bam, he gets socked right in the face halfway through like a total tool. Mullins was so fun to watch here—I couldn’t shake the inner Resident Evil fan in me screaming, "Chris Redfield!"

I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the game so much! The first three Fatal Frame games are endlessly replayable for me. I especially loved how the third game ties everything together; Rei is hands down my favorite protagonist of the series, and the final scene of her saying goodbye to Yuu is genuinely heartbreaking.

This was one of the very first PS2 games I ever played. Looking back, it feels so much like a playable fairy tale — almost like it stepped straight out of the Disney Renaissance era. I absolutely love watching the Prince grow from an arrogant, cocky youth into a wiser, more humble man. And one of my favorite touches? The storytelling never breaks, even when you die — he’ll just go, 'No, no, that’s not how it happened,' and keeps the magic rolling. It’s such a brilliant way to stay immersed!

@highkeydracula I remember the first time I saw those effects; I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. The devs really went the extra mile there.

PCSX2 runs this game perfectly. I’ve always loved the Fatal Frame trilogy, but after the PS3 version caused my console to overheat during the second game, I still get flashbacks! Fatal Frame III is my favorite for its story. Make sure to examine everything in Rei’s house—the environmental storytelling there is top-tier.

I’m playing through this game all over again and find myself thinking the exact same thing: it still looks phenomenal and holds its own against modern titles. Rocksteady’s art direction in this series deserves to be put under a microscope, given how flawlessly they realized Gotham City.

HOW DOES AN 11 YEAR OLD GAME LOOK THIS GOOD?? What did they do with Arkham Knight visuals to have it age so well that it could come out today and hold up completely fine with no RT or AI upscaling involved?

@AndrewMGorham That clown bit was surprisingly tense! It was ridiculous, of course, but the scene played it straight while Bond was trying to disarm the bomb. It’s not an easy balance to strike, but John Glen somehow made it a nail-biting moment!

Rewatch complete of this uneven yet entertaining later era Moore flick. As always Moore is having a blast and Maud Adams is excellent. The story is convoluted, gadgets are over the top fun, solid action, locations fairly standard but Bond dressed as a clown absolutely rules!

Solid 8 from me as well! I loved the stealth component of the game, and its platforming was the best in the series up to that point (though The Forgotten Sands edges it out for me). I also adored the Prince's characterization—the way the ending wrapped everything up full circle was so satisfying and emotional, and the banter between Farah and the Prince was pure gold. The Sands of Time, however, is still my all-time favorite—and always will be!

Yeah, the journey the Prince goes through in the Sands of Time trilogy is fantastic—one of the best arcs in gaming. Yuri Lowenthal was great, especially in The Two Thrones. I still laugh at the bit where he tells Farah: “I don’t like pomegranates; they're messy and impossible to eat with dignity." Cracks me up every time.

@KinesthGamer I agree with you. The game has a comic-like style, and it’ll still look great even 10 years from now. I played it for the first time a few months ago and really enjoyed it, though of course the story can’t quite match the Sands of Time trilogy.

@PlayStalgiaX I always thought it was weird that Jean Reno voiced the French dialogue but not the English. I think it was due to a busy schedule? Awesome character regardless—I love the Onimusha games!

@TheHiddenOneAC Silent Hill 2 tends to hog the discussion (with good reason), but 1 and 3 are fantastic, top-tier survival horror games. I find 3 to be the scariest one, and I also love how much of the first game's story it wraps up.

I finished Silent Hill 1. Loved it. Absolute cinema from start to finish. Obviously a product of it's time with very poor voice acting, hower I can't wait for the Remake knowing how good it'll most likely be.

@highkeydracula I’ll admit it—I’m terrible at this game. I can’t get the hang of the combat, which is definitely a 'me' problem. I’m usually great at these types of games, but Alan Wake never clicked. My brother, on the other hand, absolutely loves it.

I'm like 50% done with Alan Wake 1 and I can kinda understand why some people don't care for this title. 💀 it's not bad! They story is interesting and engaging, even reminds me a bit of Silent Hill 2, but for what it is it feels like episodes drag a bit longer than need be.

It’s hard to say which Lian mission was my favorite. I’ve always liked the thick, oppressive atmosphere of the McKenzie Airbase Interior. The Moscow Club 32 / Moscow Streets sequence is probably my favorite stretch of her gameplay; I absolutely love the setting and the music there. Also, the Aljir Prison Break-In scared the crap out of me as a kid! Lian is such an underrated character and was easily the MVP of Syphon Filter 2. I salute you, Lian!

Lian Xing checking in. When Syphon Filter 2 launched in March 2000, players finally got the chance to step into Lian’s shoes for several missions — bringing a different pace and perspective to the story. From escaping McKenzie Airbase, to tracking Gregorov through the streets of Moscow and then sneaking around Aljir Prison, her missions remain some of the most memorable in the game. Which Lian mission was your favorite from SF2? #SyphonFilter #BringItBack @BendStudio @John_Garvin

@AndrewMGorham My mother loves Roger Moore and thinks he's the best Bond. Dalton is my favorite, but I'm always up for the Moore era. It's funny how Licence to Kill has more in common with the Live and Let Die novel than the film, especially with the Felix Leiter catalyst.

Rewatch complete of Roger Moore’s inaugural outing as Bond and while not everything works he immediately makes the role his own with his charm and charisma. Crazy plot, fantastic stunt work, Yaphet Kotto and an all timer theme song highlight the start of this campier era of Bond.

Hot take: RE4RE Leon is a better character than RE4 Classic Leon. Lots of RE fans lamented Leon being moodier and more serious in Remake, and I get it. Believe me, I do. His constant wisecracks and devil-may-care attitude made RE4 Classic a truly fun experience. However, this really does not fit the established Leon. Think about it: In RE2, he was a boyscout rookie cop. Then in 4, he's a completely different character. He's basically Dante from DMC, with the events of 2 barely being mentioned. In Remake, however, his sass is recontextualized. He still drops quips and one-liners, but this time, it feels more like a coping mechanism to the awful situation he is in. And the trauma of RE2 is more clearly felt, both in a lengthier intro sequence, as well as him clearly having survivor's guilt from failing to save anyone in Racoon City (except arguably for Claire, but she did pretty well on her own). It may be because I became a Resident Evil fan quite late, specifically with RE2 Remake, but I feel that this change fits Leon's continuity far better. And again, I understand the sentiment of missing the old devil-may-care Leon, but from a narrative and characterization standpoint, Remake Leon runs circles around his older counterpart. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

Am I crazy for feeling like emulating a game just doesn’t carry the same vibe as playing it on actual hardware? I’ve played and beaten multiple games on emulator both phone and PC, and it works, but it doesn’t feel the same for whatever reason
