Just finished SOMA.
What an incredible experience from start to finish. The existential and philosophical story is genuinely masterful. The atmosphere is some of the best you'll witness. There's not much gameplay involved, but the environmental storytelling kept me completely hooked the entire way through. That ending absolutely blew me away.

@TheHiddenOneAC The least scariest one is deffo a machine for pigs in term of jump scares but the designs and the story behind the game is really amazing it was the first horror game I played

By the way, are you interested in playing Alone in the Dark (2024)? It's by the same writer as this one and Amnesia.
Gameplay-wise it's a Resident Evil 2 remake style game on a lower AA budget, but it's still decent.

@TheHiddenOneAC Is it any good? I remembered today and wanted to get it, but I don't wanna pay 40 Euro for something like this. I know you can pay way more for artbooks n stuff, I guess I was just expecting it to cost less.

Wow I forgot about this. I bought it when it was leaked earlier this year before the game was even announced so I wasn't sure it would arrive, and hey it did.

There is a listing on Amazon for the artbook of 'Assassin's Creed Black Flag Remaster' with no picture displayed, and it releases on March 24th 2026. I'd assume it was a scheduled listing, but the delay of many unannounced titles occured recently. One of them being the Black Flag Remake. So perhaps this was leftover. The listing displays Titan Books as the publisher. Titan Books has extensively worked on Assassin's Creed before publishing numerous art books, essential guides, and lore books since 2012.

Is Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced actually better than the original game? I've seen mixed reactions across the internet today.
I think both games are equally good for their respective release eras.

The Isu lore in Valhalla and how it ties into the mythology is some of the most brilliant writing in the entire series. Same is true for the Order of the Ancients storyline. Just because Valhalla as a whole is bloated

Whenever I see somebody say Black Flag isn't an Assassin's Creed game just because you don't play as an assassin, you just expose yourself to having a very surface level understanding of the franchise's overarching themes.
