Since a few people are misinterpreting this somehow. This tweet is NOT a defense of the gameplay changes. Whether the changed mechanics suck or not is not the point. The point of this tweet is that we are finally having a deep dive conversation about the game itself. I don't know how to explain that anymore clearly :/

Believe it or not, Black Flag Resynced discourse about hidden blade combat being removed, parkour flow, modern day or whatever else is actually good for Assassin’s Creed. After the exhaustion of the AC Shadows controversy, where politics and culture wars completely drowned out any attempt of discussing the actual game itself, it's a relief to see the fandom be obsessed with mechanics again. These are exactly the kind of deep dive discussions people should be having.
