@dadsweb67 After 8 years in Hokkaido I left. I have made a constant effort to stay in touch with my Japanese “friends” I would say that of a dozen I’d hoped to remain friends with only 2 make the effort to stay in touch. The others I’ve given up on 😔

So I saw a comment recently that if you are living here, you should seek out gaijin friends as it is very difficult to make Japanese ones, and I wonder for those that have been here a while, outside work and romantic partners, do you have J friends and if so where did you meet?
