@DanielGarb @willowilliams96 25 yr old = avg low =increase in recent score = potential = deserves a spot
30 yr old = avg low = can’t improve = no good
Playing for the country, you’re no exactly selling your point here
English

@willowilliams96 No, you goose. If a player has a lower average under 25 then there’s a fair chance they’re being picked on potential. Which is fine. That’s the relevance. Inglis is over 30 - which is fine too, plenty have flourished from that age. But it ties into the average point.
English

I've got nothing against the selection. I think Josh Inglis can do well and really hope he does but it's quite something that you can average 35 in first class cricket these days and make the middle order of the Australian Test team. #TheAshes

Nick Daicos appeared resigned to the fact that his coveted number 35 guernsey may not be available to him, ceding seniority to likely teammate, Brownlow medallist Patrick Dangerfield.
"'Danger' obviously gets first dibs, so I might have to work out if I'm number three or number five. I think Danger deserves it," he said.
Why does danger deserve it? lol stuff him ha 😂

@Xrphawk589 @willowilliams96 @HawkTalkPod This “Willo” guy said North would win a flag by 2025 just 2 years ago…
I’m not short sighted, I’ve never said I don’t want to trade him, just that pick barely changed anything. With our NGAs this year our draft plans don’t really move with 9, and next year could be pick 20
English

@willowilliams96 @Lockiebender @HawkTalkPod No point explaining flow on effects and alternatives to short sited people mate. The right business move is to move him on and put faith in those that want to be there. If Essendon don’t do this they’ll continue to be the rabble they have been for 2 decades
English

But that's the Essendon hive mind for you. It's all over X; they're celebrating all this as Essendon winning, and Hawthorn losing. Not sure how Hawthorn is worse off than Essendon out of this? We're worse off for Worpel leaving, but that's nothing to do with EFC
Alex@Alex04033973658
@HawkTalkPod Two team mates have bad mouthed him (unheard of according to Lloyd), supporters booing him for sure next year, locker room tension. Essendon must be crazy to think keeping him is a good idea. I think it gets done.
English

@Lockiebender @HawkTalkPod Vs not having him on your list in 2-3 years when he leaves as a free agent or retires in 6 years time when you are still languishing mid table?? Not to mention the burden of next years speculation/ locker room tension. Crazy thinking
English

@willowilliams96 @HawkTalkPod If he’s traded for pick 9, next years pick (likely late) and a player like Hustwaite that’s a loss for Essendon
English

@HawkTalkPod It’s a win win for both if he is traded and a lose lose for both is he’s not.
English

@HawkTalkPod Oh boy, this guy is notorious for having someone the worst football takes ever, rumour is there’s even a spreadsheet kept of his horrendous takes. If you’re siding with him, that’s worry
English

The De Goey to St Kilda rumours have reached fever pitch but he's committed to the Pies and clubs haven't approached his camp. He's only 29 so has plenty of good footy left at the Pies. Be a huge surprise if anything happened 👇heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/trad…

Day one of trade period and suddenly no one is available @traderadio

@willowilliams96 @ChrisFitzMelb Honestly cant figure out if this is real or not

I’ve seen some bad AFL takes in my time but this is a doozy.

Seeking a few apologies from cricket brainwaves on twitter tonight. Never doubt the king. He’s generational and he opens in the first test of the ashes 👑

In amongst the doom scrolling tonight, this little bit of sunshine. Two young guns going after it. Love it.

In a bid to sell the @stkildafc dream to Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera, president Andrew Bassat organised a dinner at his Brighton mansion with multiple wealthy backers & key staff earlier this year.
Well intentioned as it was, the ploy didn’t land with NWM or his family.👇
