@Logos_Path@RealPostFolder He is the author of truth, whatever he decides is the objective truth. He doesn’t need majority vote for a decision, Heaven is not a democracy, it is an absolute monarchy.
They will probably go to hell, but only God knows. Everyone deserves hell. Salvation is a gift, not right.
@wixrom05@Zak_in_Oregon@RealPostFolder If this nature was so clear and logical in the Scriptures, why did it take over 400 years and violent political debates for the Church to finally agree on who Jesus actually was?
@Logos_Path@Zak_in_Oregon@RealPostFolder Jesus nature was fully recognized at the Council of Chalcedon, which used what is written about Jesus in Scripture and basic logic to come to the hypostatic union conclusion.
@wixrom05@RealPostFolder If your God is real and omnipresent, why is He consistently invisible? Have you ever actually seen Him with your own eyes, or are you just relying on someone else's ancient testimony?
@Logos_Path@RealPostFolder He doesn’t hide, he literally came down to earth as a man and lived among us. His revelations are not contradictory when read in context and correctly translated.
@wixrom05@Zak_in_Oregon@RealPostFolder If God is omniscient, why correct His own Law? Abolishing the pork ban suggests a "rough draft." A perfect God doesn't change His mind: either the Law was imperfect, or His plan wasn't final. It's a logical contradiction.
@Logos_Path@Zak_in_Oregon@RealPostFolder The food laws were abolished (mostly) in the New Testament, this is evident by Jesus statement in Matthew 15:11 and Peters vision in Acts 10:9-16. So before this pork for example was forbidden, but now it is clean. God cleaned it. That is within his authority.
@wixrom05@RealPostFolder He makes a distinction based on an arbitrary decision, since his definition of sin is neither accepted nor recognized by the majority of the world's population. What about those who have never even heard of your imaginary Jesus? Will they go to hell or not?
@Logos_Path@RealPostFolder God frequently asks for worship multiple times in the Bible. He deserves it because he made everything and he died for his creation. The creation should obey it’s Creator.
@Logos_Path@Zak_in_Oregon@RealPostFolder He is both. That is part of the miracle. God walked in human form among us, He drank like us, ate like us, talked with us, slept like us, healed us, prayed like us, suffered like us, died like us. But unlike us, he committed no sin. Through him, we can achieve salvation.
@Logos_Path@RealPostFolder YHWH. He did not change the definition. The New Testament is more of a clarification and a completions of the Old Testament than a replacement of it. Many Christians get this wrong to. But most of the Old Testament still applies (only exception food and symbolic laws).
@wixrom05@RealPostFolder I don't even know whether to laugh or cry at this, the stupidest argument from authority I've ever read in my life, and God knows I've come across my fair share of disingenuous Christians.
@Logos_Path@RealPostFolder You can watch videos on youtube about why God exists and why that is the only rational explanation. For example the man with the highest IQ in the world proved God’s existence using math. It is an interesting video. There are also many others about the other reasons I brought up.
@wixrom05@RealPostFolder Which god are you talking about? Why did the definition of sin change between the two Testaments? Is your god really that fickle?
@Logos_Path@RealPostFolder He is both. He is God in human form, 100% man and 100% God (Hypostatic union).
God defines what sin is. It isn’t classified as a crime because we are living in Babylon and not in God’s kingdom. Also God only gave the government limited authority on what crimes they can punish.
@Logos_Path@RealPostFolder The evidence is everywhere, creation itself is evidence of a Creator. Also things like fine tuning, the existence of objective morality, archeological evidence for biblical stories and the Shroud of Turin are all further evidence.
@wixrom05@Zak_in_Oregon@RealPostFolder You still haven't resolved the contradiction regarding the supposed nature of Jesus: was he man or God? He cannot be both.
@Logos_Path@Zak_in_Oregon@RealPostFolder Every human except Jesus is evil. Also I don’t recognize the Papacy’s authority, so I don’t think they have the authority to declare someone a Saint.
@wixrom05@Zak_in_Oregon@RealPostFolder Was vegetation created on the third day (Genesis 1:11-12) or after humankind (Genesis 2:5-9)?
Have you even read your Bible?
@Logos_Path@Zak_in_Oregon@RealPostFolder Genesis 1 is God’s story, whereas Genesis 2 is considered man’s story. With the focus and perspectives being different, but they don’t contradict.
Yes. Slaves should obey their masters. God is a slave master himself, why would he be against slavery? I am one of his slaves.
@Logos_Path@RealPostFolder Children are not innocent. Children have a sinful nature aswell.
God doesn’t need glory, he is already perfect. But he wants it and he deserves it. He literally made the entire world and everyone in it. He even came down as a man and died for his creation. He deserves glory.
@wixrom05@RealPostFolder If his sacrifice was not pointless, then how do you explain the fact that the overwhelming majority of the world's population since his death has not believed in his divinity?
@Logos_Path@RealPostFolder There has only been one sinless human in the entire history of mankind and his name is Jesus Christ. His sacrifice was not pointless, he died taking the punishment that we deserve. He was the sinless sacrifice, the Lamb slain at the foundation of the world.
@wixrom05@Zak_in_Oregon@RealPostFolder Why are there two versions in Genesis? Did Yahweh contradict himself? Did he forget what he said in the first version, to the point of having to improvise a second? Was it the Holy Spirit that inspired Paul in Ephesians 5:6 to demand that his slave disciples obey their masters?
@Logos_Path@Zak_in_Oregon@RealPostFolder Genesis 3 is the fall of man. But you need to read other verses to fully understand, for example Romans 5:12-19 and Psalm 51:5.
Paul writings have been demented Scripture via the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
