Researchers at @unibirmingham have uncovered a potential link between the #EpsteinBarr virus and #MultipleSclerosis (MS). 20 years of mounting evidence now shows a link between the two, where the virus may trigger MS via brain cross-reactivity.

Sad to hear of the passing of Prof Sir Tony Epstein, discoverer the first human tumour virus, EBV, which is the focus of my group. Such a privilege to meet him and hear him speak at the 50th anniversary of the discovery of EBV in 2014. What an inspiration. thetimes.co.uk/article/profes…
