Last night I placed my largest college basketball wager of the entire season on a conference future in the Patriot League. Navy was a consensus -160 to -200 favorite to win the Patriot League and yet a book had them out there at -120. Through a network of accounts I was able to get down a sizeable stake and based on the projected spreads of the opponents they might face down the stretch, I will have an equity position in the wager if the Middies win just one PL tournament game. Mistakes like these in pricing can be found in every mid and low-major conference tournament. The only way to ensure that you are getting the best entry is to shop around and have at least 5-6 places that you can place a wager. The difference between -120 and -200 is staggering, the math would blow your mind. So please shop around and find the best point of entry for these conference tournament futures. It is the difference between a winning or losing P&L.
