@Avabelly__ @Avabelly__ I had an orange cat back in the 90's that I named "Sir Isaac Newton Gingrich III" hehehe.... I just called him Newt, so that's a good name.

@Jassmini2 @Jassmini2 I do help homeless people, but homeless people are never at checkouts in a store a with a loaf of bread knowing they have no money but hoping someone else will pay. The question is not logical and is actually disrespectful of homeless people.

@trumplicans2024 The Constitution says someone doesn't "need" to own one in order to own one, period. I'm not saying I like that, but it IS the law of the land.

I get that it's hot out and people want to be comfortable while doing yard work But mowing shirtless in full view of the street can feel a little awkward when families, kids, and neighbors are all outside or walking by. I'm not trying to tell anyone what to do on their own property. I just think shared neighborhoods work better when everyone has a little awareness of the people around them. Be honest, would this bother you, or would you just let it go?

@ApoStructura @ApoStructura The U.S. always works best when it starts from behind, just like in the early space race of the 1950's and 60's. The USSR was ahead, but we still beat them to the Moon. Failures ignite defiant determination and hopefully will this time. Ad Astra Per Aspera.

There’s now a serious chance that China beats the U.S. to the moon. It’s all on SpaceX now (maybe it always has been)

@JeffBezos @JeffBezos you have a great team. A few of them have worked for me and I can personally attest to their quality. Let them loose, provide the support they need, and get the heck to the Moon!

Thank you for being here today. Your support means a lot to the whole team. We will get back to flight, and we will get to the Moon. Gradatim Ferociter.

We go where we need to be, and today that was @NASAKennedy. Some of my senior engineers and I spent time at @blueorigin with @JeffBezos and @davill, speaking with the workforce and seeing the damage at LC-36 firsthand. I appreciated the opportunity to hear directly from those working through the aftermath and better understand the challenges ahead. There is a lot of work to do, but this is exactly why people choose careers in aerospace, whether at NASA, Blue Origin, or across the industry. The talent in this field thrives under pressure and performs at its best when solving the toughest problems. We have been saying for months at NASA that we are not going to sit on our hands and wait for the capabilities necessary to achieve the nation’s most pressing objectives. We are going to take an active role alongside our partners, just as we did in the 1960s, to overcome setbacks, remove obstacles, and deliver the intended outcomes. @NASA is committed to helping the Blue team recover, continue to advance their lunar lander and get New Glenn back to launching as soon as safely possible. America’s greatest achievements in space were never the result of avoiding setbacks. They came from overcoming them. We have done it before, and we will do it again🇺🇸

@DJSnM @DJSnM YES. That's exactly the point I made during a consulting call regarding the event earlier today. The damage to LC-36 might actually be less impactful than what happened to SLC-40 or the Antares complex at Wallops. That would be a good thing.

One notable difference between the 2016 AMOS-6 failure and yesterdays event it that kerosene from the booster pooled and continued to burn, increasing damage to even the concrete. Liquid Methane evaporated and burned more rapidly, and the fire from this stopped soon after. youtube.com/watch?v=_BgJEX…

@KenKirtland17 @KenKirtland17 I question if the FAA, NASA and SLD45 would certify a repaired but compromised tower and if it might just be more time- and cost-effective to just assemble a new one. The tower didn't do much except host lights and lightning protection. It's basically redundant.

@WorkElizab @WorkElizab The last line of her sign mentions serving for free. Her employer doesn't pay her? It IS her job to serve customers without extorting extra money from them. Her beef should be with her boss, not her customers. And if she doesn't like it, quit and get another job.

@WorkElizab @WorkElizab I think restaurants should pay fair wages to employees so that "tips" can be a gesture of gratuity, i.e. thanks for good service and not the primary source of income. PAY YOUR EMPLOYEES FAIRLY AND CHARGE YOUR CUSTOMERS FAIRLY.
