@TheRealKitty019 The current military is based on missiles, you can argue thats arty? Leadership wont admit theres only one way to control the middle east and its brutality. That being said its worked numerous times just fine. The military is based on killing enemy armies not holding countries

The American military leadership has always had this weird relationship with artillery deliverance systems, going all-in on dropping bombs by whatever means are currently in vogue and then being surprised when that strategy fails every time for a hundred years straight. The bulk of American victories have been down to their lower-leadership getting cut off from command and therefor not being able to follow doctrine, so they come up with another solution that actually works. Like instead of calling in arty on the snipers, just fucking shooting them. Yes, that was actual combat doctrine in WW2 and it was infuriating for British, French and Canadian troops to deal with. Iran war looks like another case of this: you're all-in on artillery because it's relatively safe and doesn't put Americans' lives at risk. But, you can't control anything and you're causing too much collateral for American civilians to stomach. You can't send troops in without it being political suicide, but that's what you need to control territory. Kinda looks like American military doctrine is centred around decapitating demographically unstable Republics with small, poorly-equipped militaries and rigid leadership rather than any kind of hardened nation that's prepared for the potential of war. Or put another way, they've thought real hard about how to invade Liberal Democracies and Socialist states, but still, after 30 years have no idea how to deal with the goatfuckers and certainly no idea how to handle a 'greatest ally' that's busying itself with Seek and Destroy games targeting every single possible negotiator your enemy might have. Like I understand that there's a justification there from America's perspective for this war but you have to admit it's turned into a boondoggle that's left egg on America's face at every turn. Your only ally in this war, the ally that dragged you into it, is actively sabotaging you.

No shade to Aidan, if anyone has any misconceptions on “bumbadum14’s position on iran” (which is retarded and if you care about my take on things then you take this website too seriously) I have been abundantly clear: I don’t like the war, I don’t support the war, if the only way through this is appeasing zog, then by all means glass the nation filled with cousin marrying arabs. I will not listen to people who post TND RWDS and WAGTFKY troon out about Iranians. (You can replace arab and Iranian with Jew and Israeli fwiw) I simply want out. I have made this as clear as possible and I would prefer to not be lumped in with any tribe on this issue.

🚨 do you understand what New York City just accidentally admitted.. NYC spent $81,705 per homeless person last year.. the median American household earned $81,228.. the government spent MORE to keep someone homeless than most families earned to keep themselves housed.. that $81,705 isn't going to the homeless person.. it's going to the system around them.. shelters, administrators, case managers, contracts, overhead.. the industry that manages homelessness.. not the end of it.. if NYC gave every homeless person that money directly.. they could afford nearly 2 years of rent.. most of them wouldn't be homeless anymore.. instead the money goes to the system.. the system keeps running.. the homelessness stays.. and every year they ask for more funding to manage the problem that the funding was supposed to solve.. the homeless are worth $81,705 a year to the system.. they're worth nothing to it solved..

Comment (Grok): “Recent surveys from the University of Maryland's Center for Democracy and Civic Engagement (2023-2024 data) confirm ~1% of adult U.S. citizens lack any government-issued photo ID—meaning 99% have one (driver's license, passport, state ID, etc.). [So American citizens are not actually being inconvenienced by demands for official identification.]” Response: Nonsense. When some recipients of government services, all of them foreigners who have illegally crashed the border, are often required to show no documentation at all, citizens compelled to show documentation are being unfairly inconvenienced. Here's what my own experience tells me about this. Say you have a driver's license. Say you presented documents to get it. This does not stop the DMV or other government agency from informing you that in order to get that magical little gold real-id Judenstern equivalent on your license, or whatever, you need a whole new pile of documentation, including the same documents you presented to get that license in the first place. Unfortunately, if you've moved or gone through any disruption that put the documents out of sight or out of reach, you're SOL. In my opinion, it should be the so-called government that's SOL. I used to make excuses for the government. "Showing documentation is our civic duty!" I reminded myself. Then I noticed that after 60 years of packing the US with Third World migrants, the foreign-owned government had stepped up the pace, and that millions of Third World migrants were being allowed to cross US borders without showing so much as a real name or a clean bill of health let alone a clean police record. I also noticed that even in the most extreme medical emergencies, I had to beg for medical care. It also came to my attention that countless members of the American majority were losing their jobs, homes, and lives as the government squandered $ hundreds of billions on non-Americans who openly tell us to drop dead (and/or help us get there with insane levels of violent street crime). And then I found out that I could be embroiled in and blamed for WW3 without even being asked if I'd agreed to it. Once you start noticing this kind of problem, you have no choice but to say "To hell with this government and its demands." If you have an ounce of intelligence and dignity, that is. Those committing White Genocide against the majority population of the US and other Western nations are ineligible for further excuses. They're sold-out scum who need to do their damned jobs or find another line of work.

Yup. It's very odd that Europe, who has withdrawn and become (ironically) very isolationist, can no longer comprehend that the US, as the sole world power, has alliances and missions all over the world, not just NATO. Not only do they not comprehend it, when told about it they have zero sympathy for the other countries the US also partners with. South Korea, Japan, Australia, Taiwan, Israel, et al. The Euro opinion, when they bother to think of it, is that the US should just abandon all of them so we can continue to ship cash and military assets to Europe.

The biggest downstream impact of all of this is ex post facto totally justifying the attempted acquisition of Greenland. Say the Danes say we can't use our nuclear early warning sites because they want to be neutral in whatever conflict, that is a HUGE issue for NORAD. If NATO conditionally won't let us use bases we have access to, then we have to assume that those conditions will come at the worst possible time for our national security. The "alliance" is totally broken at that point.

There has not been a serious effort to secure assistance from any of these countries, not any concrete requests as to who should do what where. The German government apparently has received no direct communications from the Trump administration about any of this. There are only statements on social media and in the press about faithless NATO allies. Thus the goal is not actually to secure assistance in opening the Strait, at least not at this stage. Rather, it is to assign responsibility *in the eyes of American voters* for the continued closure to other countries. It's a publicity and a messaging campaign driven by Trump's desire to declare victory and extricate himself.
Glenn Diesen@Glenn_Diesen

The main challenge for Trump is to declare victory without being able to open the Strait of Hormuz: "Let France do it... Let the European countries do it… Let South Korea do it... Let Japan do it… This was not part of what I wanted to do"

I resent the notion that being a war hawk is equivalent to being a Neo-Con. First off, if you genuinely believe this then you understanding of Neo-Conservatism is elementary and you need to study. Know thy enemy. Second, it is a necessary condition of being "America First" that America must be the most powerful country in the world. We cannot see to our needs in a world this hostile without carrying the biggest stick. You cannot be the most powerful empire in the world if your polity is terrified of fighting a war. Put Iran itself aside for a moment, consider this as a thought experiment in a vaccuum. A pacifist cannot see to America's needs in this world, and we will command no respect or cooperation if everyone knows our President's hands are tied by a populace that pees itself at the sight of military action. I understand some people are arguing about priorities, and that's fair—though, I disagree, obviously. I'm not talking to you folks right now; and if your reply to this post is arguing with me about this point I'm going to mock your reading comprehension and dismiss you as an illiterate. I am talking to the people so subject to third-hand trauma from the GWOT that genuinely think there isn't a war in this world worth fighting unless its on our own shores. This group of people in particular are a bunch of big babies who do not understand politics near as well as they believe. I'm a Postliberal American Imperialist, and if you cannot tell that apart from a Neo-Con... Well, perhaps political philosophy isn't your vocation.

You don't hate capitalism, you hate corporatism. You look at bailouts, subsidies, and firms that get rich through political access instead of honest competition, and you are right to feel disgusted. Capitalism lives or dies by voluntary exchange, by serving people well enough that they choose you over someone else. Corporatism works by fusing business with the state so failure gets cushioned, rivals get fenced out, and consumers get trapped. In one arrangement, profit follows value. In the other, profit follows influence.

Maybe it makes me a bad person, but honestly I’m so autistic that my issue with the antisemitism on here isn’t that it’s obnoxious, unkind or “morally wrong”, it’s that it breaks people’s brains and turns them into actual retards with fetal alcohol syndrome, with whom no meaningful dialogue or debate can occur, because they’re too emotionally committed to a litany of spastic priors that nobody with a fully functioning brain shares. It’s that it’s a totalising commitment to cult logic. You cannot meet cult logic in the middle anymore than you can be half pregnant, either you’re buck broken by third world Islamist retard logic or you’re not. If you are, there’s nothing to discuss.
