Took a vehicle theft report on 81st Terr. 2008 Kia stolen overnight. Kia and Hyundai are the most common thefts. If you live in OP and would like a special lock for your Kia or Hyundai, contact Crime Prevention Officer Wes Griffith at (913) 890-1426 while supplies last.

We handled a report of a beeping coming from a vacant house on 81st Street. House is being rehabbed, and one of the smoke detectors out back was going off. Problem solved.

Just handled a call on 99th Terr. Homeowner thought it was an attempted burglary, however, it was clearly apparent the garage door tracks were loose. No sign of forced entry attempts

@RepDavids spent the morning with the @OverlandPark_PD, joining our Command Staff meeting, touring the Sanders Justice Center, and doing a ride along with the Parkway Patrol Division. @opcares Mayor Skoog joined us as well.

Today our interns completed their 8 weeks, culminating with individual presentations to Command Staff. 4 have already submitted their applications to join the @OverlandPark_PD. Good luck all!!!
