@christlet @HenriquesLab @OSMicroscopy If you're keen to get started, you can build a regular @OpenFlexure microscope in anticipation :) we've not pulled in the new work from Strathclyde, but full parts and build instructions for the mechanical stage (which I don't think has changed) are at openflexure.org

A fully open-source #OPT (off-the-shelf and inexpensive parts) for large sample imaging. #GPU accelerated reconstructions in @FijiSc. Cool work from the Kaminski lab including @LaineBioImaging who recently joined our lab =). @gaby_gmartins @sebastianmunck you'll enjoy this one

A quick question for #microscopy twitter: I know there are loads of people sharing DIY & open source microscope builds. Is there a database or curated list of them all somewhere? tia :)

Open hardware fans : NicoLase now includes Micro-manager device support. Set up laser config channels and toggle output w/ GUI. Use in multi-D acquisition or any plug-in. Works just like filter wheel + shutter. Check out repo for latest updates. github.com/PRNicovich/Nic…

Have you ever had to guess parameters for a denoising algorithm? We have come up with the theoretical framework of 'J-invariance' to explain how to optimally tune any denoising algorithm in the absence of ground truth. Great work with @thebasepoint @czbiohub
Joshua Batson@thebasepoint

I'm happy to share Noise2Self, a framework for blind-denoising high dimensional measurements. We calibrate classical image denoisers and train deep neural nets; the same idea works on matrices of single-cell gene expression. Find out how: arxiv.org/abs/1901.11365 w/ @loicaroyer
