I am seeking honest opinions on a $15 dress from the 70’s that I found at Goodwill. Erin Brockovich has launched a new interactive website and map tracking data centers across America — and the response has been overwhelming. In just the first week, the site logged 1,690 resident complaints, with over 1,800 submissions coming in from 47 states shortly after launch. Residents are reporting serious issues including: • Massive water usage draining local supplies • Sharply rising utility bills for nearby homes • Constant 24/7 noise from fans and generators disrupting sleep and daily life • Concerns over e-waste and potential PFAS contamination This comes from the same Erin Brockovich who famously won a $333 million settlement against PG&E in the 1990s for contaminating drinking water in Hinckley, California. The map shows operational, under-construction, and proposed AI data centers, allowing people to submit reports with photos and locations. #OnThisDay in 1895: Oscar Wilde was convicted of gross indecency and sentenced to two years’ hard labour. At the height of his fame, one of the most brilliant writers of the Victorian age was destroyed by laws used to criminalise gay men. Wilde had been celebrated for his wit, his plays, his style and his genius. But Victorian Britain turned on him with cruelty and hypocrisy. His trial became a public spectacle, his private life was dragged through the courts, and his conviction ruined his health, career and reputation during his lifetime. Today, Wilde is remembered as one of literature’s great figures. But his conviction remains a stark reminder of how the law was used to punish LGBT people, not for harming anyone, but for existing outside the moral boundaries imposed by the state. It was not just one man’s downfall. It was part of a wider system of persecution.
