Glad you enjoyed the piece! The coffee example best explains when consumers would consider giving up benefits: credit & protection both less interesting for a small in person payment. And of course we're seeing a split of rewards in stables too. Re:RTP/FedNow/Zelle: all good options, but only work in-network, are "low-feature richness" AND the protocols are gatekept + hard to work with for entrepreneurs. Stablecoins are easier to build on, so expect to see stablecoin payment products with credit/protection/rewards built in.

@dabit3 I think that’s just life in general man. It will happen in all industries, family, friendship, etc. You’ll also experience beautiful moments. I guess it’s all about the ups and downs.
