Since you don't need a frontier model typing every line of code, we can optimize subagents beyond just cost. /lightning skill offloads implementation to 1,000 tok/s subagents, resulting in ~5x faster execution. it keeps frontier (or default) as the planner + reviewer, hands implementation to SWE-1.7 Lightning from @cognition. Cool thing about this pattern is that on larger or fanned-out work, it compounds! Works with @DevinAI CLI + Desktop. github.com/dabit3/lightni…

The FrontierCode leaderboard is now live: a dedicated page that tracks which models are writing code you’d actually merge. All scores — including Grok 4.5 and Inkling — are available, along with full methodology and sample tasks.

Loosely held hypothesis: there will be a surge of top talent back to Fortune 500 companies that have struggled over the last decade to compete for talent with startups, consulting, & finance. What we are seeing @cognition is that the companies who are adapting AI software engineering quickly are building completely different work cultures: each individual employee can ramp faster and have more impact, they are replacing legacy code with modern technologies, they're shifting to more, smaller teams with bigger goals. The work experience is massively better. And these are the companies that run most of the real world (e.g. financial services, aerospace, healthcare) - so the mission and impact are really compelling. I think this would be a really good thing for the world.

@blbraner @cognition thanks, will flag to our team and fix. possibly this was an old criteria, but in the signup form you can see we welcome pre-seed, bootstrapped companies and have already onboarded a few in this category

Why does every program that offers starup programs require vc funding? Why not help all of us that don't have vc funding? Sure let us verify some traction so you aren't throwing money away but the little guys need help too. @cognition looking at you with your new program.

Cognition makes over $492 million in ARR. Yet, I don't know a single person who use Devin. What's going on here?
