Preston cannot afford to lose its Guild Hall. Closed since 2019 due to RAAC structural issues, this iconic venue has been at the heart of the city’s cultural life since 1969, playing host to world-class artists, community performances and major events that have shaped Preston for generations. Now the city is rallying to bring it back. We support @blogpreston's petition, calling for urgent national backing to secure the future of the Guild Hall and deliver a modern, fit-for-purpose cultural venue for #Preston. We've written to the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, urging her to get involved and lend the government's support. A revitalised Guild Hall would bring major acts back to the city, support hospitality and leisure businesses, attract visitors and strengthen community life.
