@RealPokemoki Yeah when everything has firebreathing don management can become very strenuous lol. But yeah he should definitely try to go to tournaments! I will say trying to get in to bigger tournaments is the most annoying part. They’re basically sent out like drops and fill up immediately

@PanHanGo That is sick. My brother is super into one piece now too. He has a lot of the decks so when we hang out we'll play. The game is very hard! Lots of modality in how you spend your don. I think he has a knack for the game and I've been trying to push him to go to more tournaments

This is what I would do if my goal was to make legacy more about drawn out, decision intense games and less about low execution combo/stompy strategies. The One Ring is banned Balustrade Spy is banned K Command is banned Entomb is banned Undercity Informer is banned

@RealPokemoki I’ve been on One Piece since it came out. Game’s a lot of fun and made more money in one event than mtg lifetime including PTs, but also real life has been getting in the way more than it used to so I haven’t been able to grind/compete as much as I did in mtg

New rule change to be implemented with the upcoming banlist: UP players are now required to include a picture of themselves touching grass when submitting their deck list. This effectively kills the deck as UP players have never seen daylight

Not even sure if I should bother to even try this year which sucks cause idk how much more comp TCG playing I have left in me but this also wouldn’t be how I’d want to go out either.. I’ll still prob try to waitlist online ones but we’ll see. (2/2)

Tried to not watch a ton of One Piece Day, bit of FOMO. While the registration for this regional I slept through my alarm, all the other regionals I had an active shot of trying to get in and lost the refresh game besides 1. Can’t really justify flying out to waitlist so… (1/2)

Went with the intent of playing Doffy, but @Cross_Aii drafted the other Doffy player followed by me. PLuffy was my 3rd choice just cause it seemed the easiest and still a good deck. Still lost to lucci but it was close, some small things that if I took more time to think I’d get

@theemarclunde @YonasOPTCG I just realized I kinda misunderstood your reply lol. Basically play/draw matters in MUs a lot more in OP for curve considerations and I found going 2nd against one deck was better but Yonas who plays infinitely more games than me suggested first

With the recent announcement of the new ban list taking effect before nationals I truly think the game is in the worst spot it’s ever been. Although I agree that law and stage are broken in their own right and needed to be hit, I don’t think they were thinking of repercussions

@michaelma32 This reminds me of I think it was set 4 when dadan was temp banned and ultimately it was the same shit. Decks just kept getting taller and taller with no aggro deck to keep them in check and then eventually just namis everywhere

Law was incredibly strong but the existence of an aggro deck is necessary in any format to avoid decks just jerking each other off in a 10 drop dick measuring contest
