@smdcmc @shaileshlakhani Oh no! Are you still being ultra productive? 😂 I tried to be, and then someone told me I’m simply exchanging one life of hustle with another and to stop. So I did. Best. Decision. Ever.

As my time at Peak XV/Sequoia India reaches 17.5 years, I’ve decided it’s the right moment to step back from the firm. It has been an incredible journey—one that began in August 2007, when India’s startup ecosystem was in its infancy, to today, where it stands as one of the most vibrant in the world. I wouldn’t have traded this courtside seat for anything. So why now? As Mark Twain once said, “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.” So, I’m off to do those things— and maybe finally fix my sleep score, read some classics, and embrace the joy of unstructured time. At home, our boys are growing up fast, and they deserve more of my presence (and a lot more math homework). And professionally, I’ve reached the goals that I once set for myself, leaving me with both deep gratitude and a pull toward new challenges—ones I have yet to define but can’t wait to explore. To my partners, colleagues, founders, and collaborators—thank you. It has been a privilege and an honor to work alongside you. The relationships built along the way are what I will cherish most, and I look forward to crossing paths in new and unexpected ways. Wishing you all good health, adventure, success, and the joy of building something meaningful. And thank you for being the main characters in this incredible simulation we’ve shared.

Can someone please help me figure out the right RBI "purpose code" for photography services? A foreign client was in town and got some photos taken. Wants to pay the balance via PayPal because he's left the country. PayPal needs forex purpose code and I'm lost in the list.

After 3.5 years of building @Toplynehq, we’ve made the tough decision to wind down operations and return capital to our investors. Despite our best efforts, we couldn’t reach the scale or product-market fit we aimed for.

I am unable to accept the absence of Ratan Tata. India’s economy stands on the cusp of a historic leap forward. And Ratan’s life and work have had much to do with our being in this position. Hence, his mentorship and guidance at this point in time would have been invaluable. With him gone, all we can do is to commit to emulating his example. Because he was a businessman for whom financial wealth and success was most useful when it was put to the service of the global community. Goodbye and Godspeed, Mr. T You will not be forgotten.
