💔💔 SO SAD 💔💔HEARTBREAKING 💔💔💔 The poor pony we rescued earlier. God love her, suffered unimaginable neglect and cruelty. Thanks to the incredible team at UCD Veterinary Hospital, she was seen immediately the moment we arrived. ❤️ Their compassion and urgency have been nothing short of amazing. She is severely emaciated. Her hooves are in terrible condition. Most heartbreaking of all, a head collar had been left on for so long that it became embedded, leaving a large, painful wound. This didn’t happen overnight, someone knows something. We’ve spoken with local urban horse owners, and they are just as shocked and disgusted. How could anyone leave an animal to suffer like this? The anger and sadness we feel is beyond words 😡💔 But from today forward, everything changes for her. She will receive nothing but the best care, love, and dignity she deserves. Our vets have already said how much they want to fight for her. We’ve named her Patricia, Patty ❤️ This St. Patrick’s Day, please consider skipping just one drink and donating it instead to help give Patty a second chance. Dry food is very important and necessary and vital for our animals and their health. It is one of our 3 meals a day and a favourite midnight snack for a lot of the cats. We also need to have enough bags to take with us to Tartous. We intend to take a mobile clinic there in the next couple of weeks. This town, like so many others was badly affected throughout the war years.
